Borax mixing difficulty, Arrrgh!

And this is the reason I'm a liquid guy. No powders in my mix.

By the time I had 5 gallons, there was still quite a bit of borax "mud" that was still there by the time I got up this morning. I strained it through a 5 gallon paint bucket filter, but some still got through. Poured it through a strainer/funnel into my tank and it clogged the funnel most of the way.
Any suggestions?? Is it worth it?? Thanks!

Only 5 gallons of water will not dissolve 4lbs of most anything! Mix the 4lbs Borax in the tank you intend to use to spray out of, with the correct amount of water for that amount of Borax.

I agree with Tucker, but then again I am myself a liquid guy. Except for TSP I do dissolve mine the night before with boiling hot water and still get a little crete at the bottom of the drum.

So, is there such a thing as "liquid borax" on the market?? I've seen there is a liquid TSP substitute out there. Will that remaining "crete" at the bottom (assuming I mix it with the proper amount of water) damage my FatBoy diaphragm pump??

I like the idea of the borax keeping the roof clean longer, but do you all feel it is really necessary?

Also, Lori at PWP isn't selling the Ammonyx M any longer. Can someone suggest another good supplier to order it from. I can still get the Ammonyx Lo there, but would like to use the "M" if I can get ahold of some.

In my tests, Borax roofs stayed cleaner longer. It is not a problem to use Borax, as long as you have enough water to break it down. Is it necessary, no, not for cleaning.

WOW, is that all it takes... possibly?? I saw the recipe called for 12.5 pounds per 100 gallons, so that would be close to 6 pounds or a bit less for 40 gallons. Glad to hear you can get by with just 2 cups!!

Seems like a lot of guys are simply using the SH and Ammonyx M or Lo these days. Any idea where to get the "M" other than PWP??
