Are we all really here to help each other? Of course we are. Buyers beware: I recently posted a distasteful thread about Rex and PWP. I hope it was deleted only because my tone was bad. I ordered hoses and complained after 3 weeks of waiting. Rex cancelled my order and said he would refund my money. This was Tuesday and still havent gotten my money ($398.75). I called yesterday (Friday) to find out where my money was and Diane at PWP said it had been refunded on June 28, which is the same day I placed the order. In other words the same day they took my money was the same day they allegedly refunded it thru Paypal. Is that wierd? They had me wating for a delivery for 3 weeks that was never coming. When I called and told them I never recieved the refund Diane tells me "well I dont know what to tell ya". Basically telling me its not their problem. I spent alot of time on the phone and finally had to call Visa to file a dispute. They said the money will be returned in one business day. This transaction was the worst experience Ive ever had in my life when purchasing.
Even lowballers come through once in a while with a cut throat price and produce a good service. Once in another while others get screwed royally. I'm not writing this in anger. Im past that part. I would not want any of you guys to go through what I just went through. Your welcome.
Sorry to hear about your bad luck and down time Ed. I purchased some equipment and supplies from Bob at Pressure Tek and didn't have any problems. I ordered a tip holder and it had some quick connect issues, Bob sent another one out in a day or so. Real nice guy!
I bought a few things from them last year but I havent since...
I did get an email from them this week with a tracking number and confirming my order. Not long after that Diane called to get my last name so she could charge my card! lol.
I told her its not me and tried to help her with who it might be in my area. Maybe I should have asked them to destroy my info.
I have read the night mares about PWP for close to a year now so I never gambled with ordering, no matter how "great" the price was. After reading this I will never buy from them and I agree with Mike. You would think they would have learned some lessons and worked to become a better supplier. Chuck Bergman had a hell of a time with them last year.
I as well had trouble with them. Got my entire set up thru them and waited for 2 months to get all components right, they kept shipping wrong hoses with the wrong connectors etc. Also called to discuss the delay in the order from the beginning and I too was offered a canceled order if I wanted that, seemed like they didn't even care. Thankfully all items were received and I have not looked back since.
I too had problems with them, and have seen all the other complaints on the board here, and the other one they were banned from.
They have an exceptionally poor level of professional customer service.... lori never returning calls, getting orders mixed up, Rex talks down to you like you are some sort of idiot.
We as roof cleaners are always talking about setting ourselves apart from the HACK lowball competitors with our service and level of professionalism..... so why is it that we repeatedly accept that level of sevice from a vendor - that we are paying????
I've often thought that, if this is all the vendors have to offer as far as service, someone who REALLY knows how to provide professional customer service should go into the pressure washing/exterior cleaning distributor business, and blow the existing vendors that we complain about out of the water.
I read this stuff with disbelief. I have never had any problems with PWP, as far as ordering or getting stuff goes. In fact, Lori has personally drove over to Titan Hose Reels for me, and her Father has made special trips to hand deliver my stuff.
I have got excellent service from Bob at Pressure Tek as well. In fact, I have never had any recent problems with any roof cleaning equipment seller. I am both surprised and sorry to hear about all you guys problems.
How can you say you are in disbelief about PWP??? They were banned from this site in the past year for poor service/behavior on this board.....
They may have come through for you during the titan manifold ordeal you posted about here, but how can you be in disbelief about all the contractors here that have complained about them???
This is NO different than any thing else that "people" purchase. Price shopping is the way of life in everything. Cars, groceries, clothes, equipment, services, you name it and you are also probably quilty of it.
It really makes NO sense to keep bad mouthing a vendor, I don't care who it is. Time will tell if they will continue in business. A phone call or letter to the vendor will produce more results than comments on here.
Some vendors have gone in and deleted their accounts, (on their own, NO help) for reasons unknown. Perhaps RCIA should discourage vendors from posting on here and just let contractors fend for themselves and find their own suppliers. This may solve some of the problems??? There are some great vendors out there, and some NOT so great also. It is your choice who you buy from. JMHO

When my company has a problem with a customer, we take care of it, right away!
We do not need unhappy customers bad mouthing us, it is terrible for business!
I am in disbelief about so many people seeming so unhappy with PWP lately.
This is not a good thing.
I can not tell Lori what to do, but here is how I would handle all this.
#1 - I would become publicly accountable and answer my accusers accusations publicly.
#2 - If I made a mistake, I would admit it, and make up for it.
#3 - I would implement a system to be sure this did not happen again.

I personally will never buy anything from PWP again, they are the worse venders I have ever delt with in my life, I am very happy doing business with South Side Equipment. I have compared their prices against others several times and they have always been cheaper, and with out any aggravation whatsoever.
I honestly don't even know why PWP is allowed to be a vendor on this site, I think it's fair to say the day Lori got banned from here she has had a serious attitude with most of the older members here, and basically refuses to do business with them, and if she does do business with them she treats them like Ed got treated.
Thank God their are a better selections of vendors out there.

As a reply to Gary's post: this thread was not to bad mouth anyone. I stood at the sidelines and never had a bone in any argument or dispute pertaining to Lori and PWP. In fact I believe Lori did the best to her ability to fix this issue. Never the less this has been a nightmare. I work hard and so does everyone else here. No one needs a problem like this. My God, if I only had 1 truck like many of us do, I would have been out of commission for a month. How much money do you think someone would lose being out of commission for the month oh July? On top of it all I was treated like I'm some nuisance. This thread was only to warn my roof cleaning piers that to deal with PWP is a roll of the dice. We are here to learn from each others experience.

You would think PWP would be thankfull for being allowed back on here to solicit their business and try much harder to improve their service, instead I believe they came back on here with a bigger attitude, revenge. Their are not one or two complaints about PWP, their are many.
If you have problems with PWP, don't buy from them. If you have not had problems with PWP, continue to buy from them.
KISS
Don't we preach that on this site everyday guys?
Ditto
This thread is not me venting. It would be wrong of me NOT to tell of my experience. Or are we here to merely blow smoke up each others azz. If your a 1truck guy with 2weeks worth of work lined up and you need parts shipped quickly and reliably, this thread may have saved you $5000 to $10,000 worth of lost work.

I have to agree here. Those who live by the sword, can also die by the sword.
The RCIA can and must not protect any vendor from criticism, if it is justified. Any Vendor will have an equal chance to post a response to, and counter any criticism leveled against them by a customer. We have nearly 1000 potential customers a day coming through this forum for a roof cleaning equipment vendor. It can be a very good place to sell stuff on this forum. On the flip side, it can be a very Bad place to conduct business if your customers are not happy.
Chuck Bergman and Ed Thompson are not happy, and they represent 2 of our most respected paid members. Plus, there have been others who have had some problems, including Clyde.
It is not the place of the RCIA to dictate how a vendor runs their business. As was suggested, if you don't want to buy from them, then don't.
However, speaking only for me, and the way I run my business, I would surely want to try my very best to make my customers happy, and not ignore them.
If I were PWP, I would answer these accusations publicly, and tell my side of the story.
I once cleaned a Man's tile roof, and we wiped out the top 1/2 of a Hibiscus Bush.
The Man was a big dude, who told me he was gonna kick my little Azz if he ever saw me again.
I drove out to his home with 2 new Hibiscus Plants w/o telling him I was coming. I told him I 'deserved an azz whipping', and was sorry. He accepted my apology, and we planted the new plants together.
My Company looks Foreward to making pissed off customers friends of ours again. If a Man has the Balls to threaten to kick your Azz, he will also have the Balls to sing your praises when you do him right.
Clyde Sampsel, Ed Thompson, and Chuck Bergman are all men's Men, not wimps.
Heck, Chuck Bergman has told ME off, a time or 2!
The point is, the 3 of them have the balls to sing your praises on the Internet PWP, if you make them happy.
IF I were PWP, I would do my very best to make these 3 people happy. And, I would do it publicly, since I was accused of bad service publicly.
RCIA will not ban a vendor for bad service, only for outright premeditated rip offs. But RCIA will also not protect any vendor, unless it can be proven the customer has a hidden agenda to intentionally destroy their reputation.
I think it is time we publicly hear PWP's side of all these accusations ?
I'm certainly not looking for an apology from PWP, I will never buy from them again, I gave them several chances, I was looking at all the previous complaints about PWP and am blown away why such a horibly vendor with so many complaints are still allowed to be here, for I certainly know first hand what bad customer service PWP has, there is no explanation for her bad service except out of spite.

Here is a response from another member that sums it up.
"If you have problems with PWP, don't buy from them. If you have not had problems with PWP, continue to buy from them.
