Who rinses when there are trees over hanging the roof? I did a job today that looked 98% better after I left but I want them to get the WOW factor after a few good showers. 3/4 of this roof has just about zero visability to the sun because of all the trees and the force of a good rain shower will be minimized drasticly.

Ray from Spray Wash knows what I'm talking about. They don't call Tallahassee the "city in the forest" for nothing. biggrin

In cases like this, if you rinse, do you jack up your price per sf?

The only time a pounding rain is helpful, is with lichen and moss.  The dead algae will rinse away with a gentle flow of rain water, even if it's coming from further up the roof.

I have a tree guy that I have on file and would recommend that it may be time to trim back some vegetation to keep the roof looking good as long as possible. As far as the rain, that is one issue for more instant results but as the moss & lichen decomposes it will eventually succumb to air currents or a gentle rain as Ted had mentioned.

I agree but I think the home owner would have chained himself to any one of those trees if he so much as saw someone come near one of them with a pair of loppers. He has 100' pine trees with 60' sweet gums mixed in that pretty much encase his house. It was high noon and the mosquitos were so thick I thought my ground guy (my son) was going to need a blood trasfusion! doh

I cannot imagine living in the middle of mosquito city, but if that is what they like, then so be it. It is his fortress can't argue with that. lol
You poor son.. need to add one more item to the roof cleaning arsenal, repellent!

Have a great week!
