It depends on how busy we are. If it's all day, $10 to $12 per hour. If it is just a roof that I need help with, $50 flat or the hourly rate, whichever is greater.

Roof Cleaning and Pressure Washing in Anne Arundel County, and Howard County, Maryland
It almost doesnt matter what you pay. If people just have chit for brains and cant grasp simple concepts then you can pay them 6 figures with a pension and you still may not get results. This is my first year with employees. I dont know if its incentive issues or poeple ust dont give a chit like I do, but Im sure having a tough time getting my crews to gel. The best analogy Ive come up with to help my ground guy understand wtf is going on is: The guy on the roof is painting the roof with soap. He most likely will go outside the lines, so the water is the eraser. If you allow his paint/soap to fall on the landscape before you can erase it, your fired! And I will kick you in the nuts as you exit.

Ed I use the all-flo, and I am very careful not to have any over spray what so ever, and next to nothing for run off, and most importantly we use 10 gpm pressure washers with soap nozzles to wet the vegetation, I really have zero problems.

Clyde youre the owner. You dont count. Get guys to go out and do it like you and then I'll be impressed. Its not like my guys aim to be sloppy. Then havent spent the countless hours reading these threads like me and understands the probablities of how things go wrong. They still look at me sideways when I say "sodium hypochlorite". Theyre getting better but Ive had a few issues. And one day when I grow up I myself will have a 10gpm machine to carpet bomb the landscape with water.

Like the wrap! Really stands out! I'm looking for a driver. What I have been paying seems to be in line. The drivers responsability is to get the truck from job to job, and ground man.
Ed, I had the same problem when I first hired employees a few yrs back. I learned a few things...don't hire friends!! Don't hang out with employees outside of work because they then think they are your friend! And never let employees know when you live... As for pay, lead techs get 15 hr and water boys get 10 hr. And after their week of training they pay for any plants they kill as a team not just the ground guy.

Clyde its hard to be on all the jobs. Im running the show wth panoramic moniters 12 leages below sea level in a bunker bomb proof centralized station. 3 of the monitors only plays Southpark reruns.
