this isn't an original thought as i stole the line somewhere on the forum ... "i can rinse it for you right now if you'd like but if you let it dwell and allow the rain to rinse off you'll have a nicer roof that will stay clean longer" ... i've only cleaned about 20-25 roofs so far but its worked every time so far ... and thank you to the person who came up with that line
Chris Tucker, I believe is the originator of that line
Brown stains rinse, black stains dont. The PH of rain is more acidic. SH is more of an alkaline. The rain brings back the PH of the shingles to normal I think. It's like washing wood I think. Charge extra if they want it rinsed. I've never prewet a roof. But I have sprayed them twice, for the desired results.
Hey this is a roof pic, where I sprayed gutter dogs roof cleaning. It was 99 degres that day. Too hot on the roof to play. Shouldve sprayed the letters twice.
Can't belive what im reading, Water on the roof? Thats nuts i love the steam! Spray your 1st coat wait 15 min then doit agian. I allways do It twice i never want to be called back and have to waste gas and time going back.
Am i wrong? i mean you guys hit it 2 times too right? I coul'd not imagen leaving the property when its not 100% clean 1/2 the time i don't even meet the home owner.

Not yet. I think I saw a tumble weed blow down the road this morning! It's hot and dry. 102 yesterday and might reach 103 today. I'm going to rinse the front if we do not get any by Sat. and wait out mother nature for the back.
Craig we got a good rain and it looks great. The "customer" is now very pleased with the results. The water coming off the roof was unreal...brown and muddy in color then it ran clear after about 10 minutes.
