I was intrigued until they started down talking our industry..... I see this 'warranty' very similar to that of the SFG - the Spot Free Girls, er, uh, Gang LOL.
I'll reach out to them soon, as they have my interest.
Thank you Atlas Roofing Corporation (whom I've never heard of before) for that excellent line. "What good is a 30 year warranty if your roof doesn't look good for 30 years?" (I paraphrase).
Even though it took me 3 years to get through 8th grade, I find it hard to beleive that y'all sat on a game changer like this for 10 years while algae only grew on half the roof. Personally, I would have marketed the hell out of those shingles if I developed them.
I only have one question. Why is there a straight line going down the roof between your "Super Shingles" and the regular ones with algae on them? Shouldn't the two different types of shingles be interwoven? (Sorry David.)
I posted some pics to illustrate my question. The first two are pictures of roof cleaning used to show how dirty a roof had become. The third one shows a repair and the shingles are (sorry David) interwoven. I'm not a roofer, but something doesn't seem quite right to me.

Good point Art I am not a roofer but have put on many roofs and the only way to get a strait line is to cut them at the end I guess they could have cut them inthe middle and placed another layer under but I dont thinks so
What you may be missing is it is not granules it is a scotchguard applied in addition to the copper granules. Which is I think a poly resin? sprayed on during the manufacturing process. KIM R
I agree that the pictures in the video after 10 years didn't look real. the line did not look woven. These seem like a high end product and lets face it... people often don't like to spend more then they have to, so unless the roofing company that is selling the job also has a cleaning division, more then likely they are not thinking 5 or 10 years down the road when they sell the roof. I really think even if this is a real product, it will only affect a small market. There is a big mind shift from the companies putting new products on, then for those of us who come behind them and fix it all years later. (remember if the roofers are selling these shingles they are also going to lose re-roofs because they will look good FOREVER!)
