Question about softwashing Dryvit
Permalink

I did an estimate today for a roof and the homeowner wants their Dryvit house cleaned. I am planning on softwashing but not sure what mix to use. The house is light tan and has the worm finish. There is some minor mold present in some areas on the home.  I was thinking maybe a mix of 5 gal SH and 50gal H2O with a little bit of soap(LO). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Eric, I have done a few of them and have not had any luck with SH. I have cleaned a few and you need another chemical.
Check out this company they can help you.
EaCo Chem., Inc.

If they can not let me know and I will get you in touch with another supplier that will. Don't hesitate to call if you have any questions. I have also used F-18 on dryvit and it worked well.

I had great luck with sh on dryvit. Might be the only material worthy of dusting off my jet x thingy (cant think of the name at the moment). I would 10 gal/sh for a total of 50 gal mix. Just did a nice big one last week with lots of sprinkler rust stains. The guy was a royal pain in the ass. I had to go to the Dryvit website to show him the manufacturer suggests bleach. First we treated wIth oxalic for rust than downstreamed a strong sh blend. Sweet results. 4 hour job yielded $1100.
