Shhhh......Do you pressure wash, too? DO NOT RUN OUT OF WATER. Running out of water can cause catastrophic damage to your pump.
Use the best possible solution available. Use a HIGH TEMPERATURE Hudson Float Valve.
Try to find all schedule 80 PVC fittings. Schedule 80 has a thicker wall and presents a professional, heavy duty appearance. Avoid the super soft polypropylene fittings as they crack under stress.
Pressure Washer Products offers the High Temperature Hudson Float Valve for less as well as the bulkhead assembly for easy installation in the top of your water tank.

I am glad to see that the other suppliers have taken our advice in carrying the high temperature Hudson Float Valves. One supplier even sells a polypropylene version of the bulkhead assembly. Kudos to our competitors!!!!
At least 5 years ago we noticed that the regular blue low temp Hudsons just did not seem to last. Since we began to carry only the yellow high temp Hudsons, customers seem to only need to buy it once.
Turn your Hudson Float over and check to see what you have. If you see blue, you unknowing purchased a buna float valve. If you see yellow, you are in luck because you received a viton high temp Hudson Float Valve.
For those of you whom have the low temp blue version, when it goes bad and you need to replace it, buy the HIGH TEMP HUDSON FLOAT VALVE REPAIR KIT. You can retrofit it into the old one and save yourself some bucks.
Lori Thanks for posting the difference, I did not know that there where two kinds. I went out and looked and have the blue one. Will be up gradeing to yellow soon.
