That is what one roofer is telling HO in the North as well as many, many other BullChit!! It drys the shingles out and NO you NEED to Replace it!!! It doesn't work... blah, blah

Perhaps you need to remind the roofer what both GAF and ARMA recommend about cleaning shingles.
