Sounds like you going the wrong way! Most people go from work to golf not the other way around!

Flying around the country and world every week gets old and expensive. It was all paid for until the economy went to crap. Iv met and am friends with just about all the guys you watch on tv. The deference is when we were all growing up their parents had deep pockets... I was pressure washing driveways to scrap enough together for the next entry fee. I enjoy sleeping in my bed with my wife every night ...not once a month. But it was fun!!!!

Charles, I still have old friends that work for Taylormade-Adidas golf and get em thru them. I will look for the model but I believe they are called clima cool. And they are long sleeve. You can find them a bit cheaper at any sporting goods store, New Balance makes a good one and so does Under Armor. UA has a mock neck that my guys hate so I don't use them. Try Sports Authority up there in J-Ville..

Your point is well made. I would be concerned for the partial jobs, may come back and bite you in the a__. Everyone knows it's the spores that get ya. I won't do a partial for that reason. Of course if you are only in business for a couple years possibly no issue, any time after that look out. We had a very wet humid summer last year and the algae has really popped up this year and that is one year. If your solution isn't killing the algae beware.

Been working in the wind for a few days softwashing and doing roofs. My arms have gotten eaten UP with SH!!!!!! Wish I had a couple of extra tyvek suits in the truck, but have been running from sun-up to sun-down and no time to go by the paint store to pick some up.

That is the reason we wear long sleeve shirts year round. I have never had such a problem. We are experimenting with Dixie White jumper suits.

No, that's gutter cleaning. biggrin

I will take a handful out of the downspouts for free, but if I wash out the gutters with a pressure washer, I charge extra.

I have done 4 roofs in a day. All shingled roofs, with gutters, all on the same street and could have done 5 in under 8 hours.

But I mostly do big tile roofs and seldom do more than 2 a day, but I usually also pressure wash the house, cage, deck and driveway too.

Guys, I have mentioned this on hear before. BUY some green tincture soap. It is used in the chemical industry for washing when you get corrosives splashed on you. It works great. Look it up on the internet, find the cheapest place around and buy a bottle to keep in your truck.

Respirators, splash goggles, long sleeves, long pants, boot or waterproof shoes, and a hat with a wide brim all around is a must for any roof cleaner.

Sure it may be hot.
Better to be hot for an hour then cool off, then sun burnt and sprayed with chemicals.

While I admit to occassionally throwing off the glasses on a calm day...
I wear all of the above on every job.

I donot wear safety glasses I wear are sun glasses that wrap around the sides they look like the kind that eye doctor send home with you after checkes your eyes out keeps the sun and chems out of your eyes I pick them up from 8 dollars at the flea market.
