White stain after applying love

I am noticing on some homes where there is a large concentration of balck algae that after applying the mix it turns WHITE.....it sometimes is as large as 4'x4' or as small as 1'by 1'. it remains white for a good ten minutes then goes away. Has anyone else noticed it...it does not happen on every roof ...never saw it before.
