Business survives solely on Google Adwords for their marketing!

Recently, I heard an interesting remark from my customer "We are not doing anything other than Adwords! Last month we got 16 jobs from the Internet!" I was thrilled to hear this from this customer for whom we manage Google Adwords campaign. Also the whole idea that a business could only rely on Google Adwords (and no Yellow pages, newspaper or magazine Ad) for their marketing seemed too good to be true! 

Generally, business owners are cautious spending on Google Adwords as there may be not be a good ROI on them. And I am going to tell you that for his customer Mr. X we got 91 clicks for the campaign and spend approx. $750 and got 16 jobs! That is a awesome 17.5% conversion rate!! If you ask an Internet Marketer if that is a good conversion rate.. ...they would surely be surprised. The website was launched hardly 2 months back and such high levels of engagement! I was surprised myself!

Hopefully this will help other business owners to realize how businesses are relying on Google Adwords for their marketing and how they are getting benefited. @aaron61 - The site age does affect certain things and doesn't affect certain others (also how old your Adwords account is and its historical performance matters a lot). You could end up paying a slightly higher cost per click with a new website because it doesn't have a history with Google and to calculate the Quality Score metric & cost per click, Google uses your historical data. Like the banks use your credit history to give you loan...consider this something similar. Still at a higher cost per click, getting great results is very much achievable (doesn't matter how new or old the site is).

@Cleaningpro We do both Adwords and share customer success stories to market our services. We are an Internet Marketing company but without any hesitation, I would say we get more customers from referrals than we do from Google Adwords. The combination works well for us.  What i meant what type , you have those on the right side of the page of a google search, and then you have those that are in the content of ones website,

hel I dont know its been a while since I have used it , maybe google doesn't do content ad words any moreor maybe it was  adSence

@Elite - I think you are referring to Google Ad distribution in search (top 3, side 7 on google search results) & display network Ads (seen in websites). The results are for Search network.

 I just checked out your website.  The menu doesn't seem to work with Internet Explorer 9.  This is the new version of IE and it will be automaticly updated from previous versions in the future so you want to make sure everything works with it.

Here are some considerations for using Adwords even if you are on Top 10 with SEO:

- With Adwords, you can be above the organic results in the Top 3 spots where the probability of clicking is higher than anywhere else on the page. So if your site is in 4th position & below, you may not get whole lot of clicks. Google studies confirm to this on eye tracking tests that top places receive more clicks than bottom or side results. You can type in 'Google Golden Triangle' and read on Google's research if you wish to.

- There are up to 20 possible places on the first page (10 organic, up to 10 Adwords) and you can be aggressive with your marketing by capturing 2 places 1)Organic 2) Via Adwords. Again, most often the Adwords top 3 positions get you great results!

- The most neat thing is that you only pay Google for clicks and nothing for just running your campaign.
