Thanks for the help guys. To be honest, I've been somewhat disappointed in the Talon, but most of my roofs lately have been fairly steep. I told the customer that I'll rinse his roof 2 days after we treat it because having dead algae on it would look like ship. I saw the previous thread on the NP9 but I wasn't sure where to get it. I think I'll go with the NP9 because I want to be certain that the mix is dead before I rinse. This house is 300 yards from the ICW so anything I rinse will end up in it eventually. Also, the owner is going to introduce me to a guy who works for the biggest roofing company around here if he likes my work. He is also going to try to get some of his neighbors on board. Thanks again.
Tell Your Customer you are applying a Bio Film, and will rinse in a few days. Mix in the NP 9 ON the job, and stir well. That chit will stick like glue, and expect a film. You CAN tell the customer "My customer, I am applying a Bio Film, and the longer it dwells on your roof, the better" "I can come back in a few days and rinse it off, OR we can wait for God to rinse it for us with rain" "It is your decision, but the longer it stays on your roof, the longer your roof will stay clean" I have YET to rinse an NP9 roof
Art, I haven't been overly impressed with Talon, either. However, the Mansard Roof that I just completed turned out beautifully with BC-MAO from Brainerd. It's very similar to Ammonyx Lo and M. Since it was for a home sale, I rinsed it after it had time to dwell for about an hour and it turned out perfect.

Thanks Phil. I've been wanting to try the BC-MAO, but I like the idea that the NP9 will kill the mix before I come back & rinse. (This will be the first roof I've rinsed, but since it's vertical I can't trust the rain.) I think I'll order some of the NP9 just for this mansard & a jug of BC-MAO to use on my regular roofs. I just dropped off a proposal on a 72 home develpoment where the roofs are about 9/12 but they have a metal shed roof over their porch and I'm a little afraid to use Talon on them so the BC-MAO would be a nice alternative.
I tried to contact the people Chris uses Florida Chemical Supply, but I couldn't get through on the phone so I sent an email. I guess their power/phonelines were damaged by the storm.

Here is Florida Chemical Supply information, ask for Marilyn. Lori from Pressure Washer Products in Clearwater Florida may also have NP 9 Surfactant, I don't know ? I live closer to Florida Chemical Supply, and I bought mine there. I heard they also have Ammonyx as well.
I would like to thank Scott, Chris T.,Bruce Sullivan, David Hoover, & Phil Rogers for helping me out on this one. It's nice to know you're in the company of people who will share their knowledge with you.
I sent an email to the people who sell NP9 on Friday 'cause I couldn't get through on the phone (prolly 'cause of the storms). They never contacted me & I had scheduled the job for Wed. so I went ahead & used Talon 'cause I had some on hand. I gained some respect for it in the process. I only used a little more than the instructions say to use.
I posted some pics for your amusement and, again, Thank you RCIA people.
