I have asked many to send me or show me the written proposal from the other contractor. Most have said,"that was his quote over the phone" or "He didn't provide one" Some have showed me and it's it's usually written on a card with a crossed out phone number or a page from a yellow pad.
I'm trying to present something they're probably not used to. Professionalism! Now that does not mean the other guy could not do as well if not better...it's just that I believe that the customers I am shooting for are probably looking for something a little more but didn't know that it was even available.
Let me clarify....That is anyone other than our members

Careful with sayings like that. You are telling a potential client you are more expensive even before establishing a relationship with them and selling them your company. Some people are tight wads because they don't trust you. And some people are tight wads until they trust you. Something to think about....

I often hear the same scenario"We like and trust you",BUT the price. I don't usually budge on price. If you start lowering your price people will start thinking maybe I could have gotten him down some more on the price. We are not car salesman.
