Here is a picture of the new set up from Bob at pressure tek. This will be our second rig once complete this week.

This rig will provide the proper equipment to better clean all the aglae, moss, mold and mildew from the roofs we will be cleaning in central Iowa. We will now be able to better serve the Polk, Dallas and Warren counties of Iowa.

I did tell you we are Better Business Bureau accredited?

Bruce,
That is next on my to do list.  A handy dandy pick-up truck portable set up like that, Ed also is setting one up. That looks very nice.

That looks great Bruce. As fast as your business is growing, you still manage to keep up with demand.

That is 1/2". Yes intake is the same. I have 5/8" on my other rig. Just tired of carring it around. LOL Thought I'd give this a try.

Thanks for the question.

I have the same setup Bruce. After reading a number of posts, Im wondering if 1/2" is a bit small and might damage the motor. Particularly on the intake side it seems it would be better to go larger. I imagine your running a 7870 motor. Have you felt like the 5850 would be prefferable?

I have a 5850 set up with 5/8" in and out also. I have also burned up a couple 5850 letting them run to long. I do alot of big cedar wood roofs.

Just think there are other options and the 1/2" is also 1/2" off the pump in and out. I draw from the bottom of my tank and therefore don't see that being an issue. With top draw may well be. I'll know more and give feedback once I hit a couple roofs weather permitting.

Yes there is alot of hose size debate, but the true test is try it for myself. Like mix, my mix today is alot different then what I started with because I am always experimenting with new things. I have a process for asphalt, one for wood and one for tile and they are all a little bit different, but they work for me.

At the end of the day it is all about your mix and how you lay it down.

Glad to see you are thinking, that will take you along ways in this business.

Thanks for the question.

Bruce, I would have responded sooner , but I was on a plane... to Iowa... to pick up a new truck with a roof cleaning system that looks just like yours and it just so happens to be in the same town as you! LOL
Awesome stuff Bruce!

I had some problems with my 5850 but picked up some new limit switches and it fixed it right up.....works like a charm...I talked to the gentleman from delavan and he said the intake and the nozzles are things that you should take into consideration with burning up the "pressure switch" or limit switch as you would find them online.

I may go bigger to the intake side, but bottom drawing from my tank shouldn't have to really go bigger. I am setting it up Friday and will see.

Yes everything from the truck.

I spoke with Bob from pressure Tek regarding some concerns I had with the Fat boy but assured me the accumulator tank would allow me to use whatever size tips etc.
I figuring/hoping that will help me avoid burning up motors. Bruce does your set up have the accumulator tank?.
