Guests and Members of RCIA;
When I founded RCIA numerous years ago, I did it for the sole purpose of providing a place where anyone that wanted to learn the roof cleaning business could come to and learn the proper way, using the proper chemicals, to safely perform a roof cleaning procedure. Over the years RCIA has assisted thousands of people develop a business that could provide for the needs of their families and develop lifelong friendships with other people who share the same interests.
During the recent time period, due to numerous reasons, which include my bad health, the sole purpose of what I have built has been attacked and de-graded by numerous people. RCIA is no longer a friendly and caring operation, but has turned into a daily bar room fight that seems to have no rules or regulations, with NO respect for anyone, especially the persons I have assisted in selecting to perform different duties at RCIA. As of right now, that is going to change, for the better. Here is how you are going to conduct yourself on my forum, or your attendance will be greatly decreased.
As of today, March 14, 2011, No one will be allowed to post any subject matter that is in any way de-grading or embarrassing to any member or guest. If you have a problem with someone, communicate thru PM’s, not the forum.
When you join as a guest, you will be restricted from placing any type of links to your web-site in order to gain SEO activity. You will also be restricted from placing any type of Promo ads showing your work or services. These are benefits which from this point forward, are reserved for Premium Members who support the activities and principles of RCIA and its founder, Me.
Within the newly released certification procedure, the 100 post requirement has been added back in to the requirements. To ensure compliance by anyone not currently certified, any non-certified person who violates the above listed principles will have 10 posts deducted from their post count for the first violation. A second violation will result in a reduction in post count of 25 additional posts. A third and final violation will prevent that person from ever becoming certified and may also result in a permanent ban from the forum.
In the Premium Section, the members are going to be held accountable to a new and strict standard. The premium section was originally developed to provide an area where people who are truly serious about building a roof cleaning business could share guarded information and helpful tips to greatly assist each other in their businesses. It is sort of like a gated community with a guard at the gate. When people pay a fee to enter this area, they expect more that the common brawl that is available in the free section. Premium members are expected to be the best of the forum and show professionalism. The new standards will provide this and are very simple. NO derogatory post of any type against any person will be tolerated. This is NOT a principle of free speech violation, rather a matter of common courtesy that is now required on my forum. Violators will be dealt with by me, Chris Tucker, and may be subject to being removed from the premium section, with NO refund of any fees paid.
As you can plainly see, I am serious about taking my forum back from the persons that think they can come on here and do whatever they choose, whenever they choose, in an effort to try and destroy what I and others have built and will continue to grow.
Anyone that has a problem with my requirements has 2 options to choose from. Change your feelings and comply, or find some other place to hang out and spread your poison. These changes are not a subject of discussion. Chris Tucker Founder & President RCIA.
Thanks Chris, That's what I wanted, you telling how it is to be on your creation! No question, as you said, there has been much arguing and abusive speech-me included- from both side of this thing. Now it's over and as it should be. You post the rules and acceptable conduct for your forum and those of us who would like to make use of it, will abide by your wishes. Everything else you wrote, I am in complete agreement with! Thanks for taking full control. I will abide by everything you say! I am sorry I didn't make it last night to Talkshoe, but I heard you suggest the possibility of my helping with certifications. I would be honored to assist in that capacity. Just tell me what you require and how to proceed, when the time is right! Thank You! Chuck Bergman

Thanks Chuck! Final say so on Certifications will be handled by our Roof Cleaning Masters. Just like when you go to get a drivers license, you must first pass an Eye and written test, and you may get 100 percent. But then you get behind the wheel, and a driving instructor says "Now Drive". You had best be able to drive, or you do not pass! Our Masters will administer the final test, and they will be compensated for their time spent testing potential certified roof cleaners. Hands on Training classes are ok for RCIA Certification, as long as an RCIA Master has the final say so as to who gets certified, and who does not. I think any Master we consider will agree, you can't hide a lack of roof cleaning knowledge from a veteran roof cleaner. You give me an hour on the phone or in person with someone thinking he is a roof cleaner ready for certification, and I can spot BS or knowledge sufficient for certification real quick.
Sounds good Chris, This is right on the mark! "I think any Master we consider will agree, you can't hide a lack of roof cleaning knowledge from a veteran roof cleaner. You give me an hour on the phone or in person with someone thinking he is a roof cleaner ready for certification, and I can spot BS or knowledge sufficient for certification real quick." Some have tried to belittle the original certifications you did, but besides my 100 posts, you asked me 20 questions, then we talked on the phone, for another hour, before you certified me. You knew what you were doing and would not have been fooled. Plus we talked around an hour, at a later date later too. Besides your seeing my hundreds of posts since march of 2009. You handled the original certifications just fine and if new certifications require more questions, or "50 Points" or whatever - That will be for you to decide and anyone looking to be certified now, will have to meet that criteria, just as myself and others met the criteria in place in 2009. Let me know if I can help you! Chuck

Chris, you asked me in a pm today, not to say anything against Roof-A-Cide, or any other roof cleaning methods from now on.
Is that part of the rules or just for me?
It's gonna be hard, just letting all the "Go Green" and Roof-A-Cide ads knock the RCIA / manufacturer method publicly, and not be able to defend ourselves, as they try to discredit us?
I'm not in a happy mood about this, I better go to bed I guess.
