I just got a 3/4 piece of PVC and drilled a bunch of holes, make sure you get rid of all the little pieces of PVC-burrs left inside, then glue your cap and elbow....the hard part is getting it really clean....I didn't see the picture, but know what you are looking for.
Hey Robert,..an alternative to drilling holes is to use a hand grinder with a cutting wheel and just put slices in it. This method won't leave all those little "curlys" that drilling will.

^^^^^^^^What he said, maybe use a Dremel, Jeff's right, you will have a bunch of "curlys" and its the last thing you want getting into the pump.....
I am going with an inline filter from the tank this year. We have a sprayer supply company up here because of all the farming and they have everything you need, real handy. Grinder does work well for your purpose.
I was a"Master Certified Roof Cleaning Instructor",..but no one here likes me so they took my title Ha,Ha...
No really Travis,..I'm not sure what happened. I think it has to do with the new certification process, and the old titles are being done away with. And I' not a premium member,..that may have something to do with it. Either way, no big deal.

For the gazzilionth time, only Gary Chris and Larry can change titles. recently one of them changed a bunch of them and we have evidence that Gary's account was used by someone unknown and made changes to a poll he made.
I doubt that person changed the titles it was one of those 3 though and as far as I know non of them hate you. I don't hate you either if anyone cares.

I don't hate you Jeff. I actually like you a lot. (Not like that) LOL...I would never change your title. In fact, I would never change anyones title without checking with Chris first. And just for the record I wouldn't tamper with anyones Poll either. Wow, that part that sounded so wrong....

I never said anyone hated me,..it's starting to look like I'm scrounging for acceptance,..Ha,Ha...
I said in jest that no one liked me,..just to lighten up the content of the question. I then expressed what I really thought was going on. See what you started Travis.
Ok, so I've searched high and Lowes....HAHA! I've been to Homedepot, Lowes and a few other places and for the life of me can't seem to locate a ready made filter that will work. Homedepot said they might have them at one of their bigger stores, i.e larger market than mine like Houston, Dallas, etc...
Is there a way to make one out of PVC pipe by drilling or cutting holes/ slits or would that risk getting shards of PVC in the pump?
I even searched both of the box stores websites and can't seem to order them online either.
@ Robert, If you use a hacksaw or a cutting wheel there wont be any pieces left in the PVC. The cutting wheel actually make a smoother cleaner slice though.
