There comes a time when “the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one”. Now without going all Star Trek Geek on y’all here is what is up. There has been a perceived conflict of interest among the members of this association about me being a vendor and being able to clearly serve the association solely, as an Executive Officer or Board Member. Though I can assure all of you that there was never any impropriety that existed, however the perception and subsequent damage that caused was insurmountable. The work that needs to continue in this association is far bigger than AC Lockyer and because of that I am resigning my position as the RCIA Vice President immediately.
I have consulted with Chris Tucker in this decision as well as with Gary Wyer and Bill Booz. There have been others behind the scenes from both parties right and left of the controversy that have also guided me to this decision today. On the remaining corp. executives are preparing the documentation necessary to transfer the corporate docs and shares into some other responsible parties name.
It was refreshing that all parties asked me to stay on in some capacity serving at the pleasure of the BOD maybe in a consulting role. I am not sure what that will be but however I can use my talents to help the association I am glad to. I will await the call of the new leadership in that event.
It is with my deepest apologizes that I ask for your forgiveness, for not recognizing this conflict more quickly, sparing the association this drama.
I am proud of what the RCIA has accomplished in these short 6 months. I am satisfied to have been a small part of this movement.I do need some time to heal and focus on my family and my businesses. I have clients I need to focus on and classes to teach.
Blessings on every one of you and may the SH ship hot!

I wanted to respond to AC’s gracious move of stepping aside to allow the RCIA to flourish. I know things have been tough here for several months due to the perceived conflict of interest AC acknowledged. I wanted to step forward as the founder of this board and as President of the association and thank AC for this selfless display. It is important to point out that although there was a perception that AC had taken advantage of the RCIA and of me that in-fact none of that was true. AC did what he was asked to do and communicated with the board of directors on each and every thing he did. On the topic of AC owning the corporation this was an unfortunate fact. However he was tasked with starting the corporation by the BOD and did EXACTLY what he was asked. At no time did AC ever profit from being an executive officer of the association! AC was holding the stock of the org until we made up our minds whither or not we wanted to start a 501c3 corp. or move the current corps stock into the ownership of the members these things take time and AC was willing to take the risk of ownership. I for one am very glad AC was able to spend this short time helping with the initial organization of the RCIA Association as our VP. His ability to step things up and work in my place as I battled health issues and his business background and other talents were of great use. I hope AC will stay on in an advisory capacity so the RCIA can continue to draw on his nearly 20 years of experience in the roof cleaning industry. Good Luck AC, we appreciate you!

Well said. Look forward to review AC's vendor products for roof cleaners.

So its like that. Chris I follow you. Been trying to save something.
Some members here are very short term goal oriented and distrustful that they just chased off one of the best chances of RCIA becoming anything. Chasing of talented people just because they may make a buck off members by being a vendor did not further our cause. It will set it back several years. Are you'll going to step up to the plate and fill AC's vacant shoes? Almost every organization that I have known of has had vendors on the BOD. There has to be a reason to want to be on the BOD while everyone else is cleaning roofs & making good money, and put up with everyone's crap.
AC: Sorry I didn't personally do more for the organization. Gary, Chris, Bill, And AC: Thank You Thank You Thank You.
It is my prayer that this organization will grow from this, not die as some perceive, but flourish from it in the near future. I choose to continue supporting this organization. I choose also my words carefully, and will not use this board recklessly (as some have).
There is nothing wrong with questioning the leadership of any organization, but there comes a time you have to trust those in charge. Chris trusted AC, and that should have been enough for all of us.
I never understood the personal attacking.
To the extraordinarally critical and short-sighted: Please take this time to call on your vast resources and limitless time to pick up the flag that has now fallen, and press on.
May God Bless The Former BOD, the future BOD, and the rcia.

LOL, RCIA DIE Not on your life I ran it before, and I will run it again, with some help. Certifications WILL be happening shortly, in fact we have a final meeting about them in 15 minutes! Stay Tuned
I respect what you are doing based on what you recognized "the many" felt. “the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one” Thank you, it takes a real man to end this as you just did! Good luck to you with all future endeavours! Chuck
