I just landed this roof this morning.Lady said she liked my detailed proposal, folder with info & felt more comfortable with us than others who had come out. My question is was it really my price that she liked??? Not allot of landscaping,a few gutters. So be honest!!! Am I too low,too high?? What would you have priced this at?? Again be honest!! I will Honestly tell you I got $725

I couldn't tell you how many times I've given a price then immediately regretted it because they accepted so quickly. Realized I shoulda charged double. Lol and vice versa. The key is to use a standrad pricing formula and stick to it.
I agree Scott. I'm trying to set up a system where I have a base price by neighborhood and I adjust it up for different variables. If that proves impractical, I'll try something else.
Aaron - every market is different. What you'd get for that in Fl is different than what it would go for in the DC area. I'd raise my prices until I'm losing 25-35% of my bids due to being too expensive. That's in theory anyway.
Good luck bud!
*edit* due to yet another typo......

Thanks for responding. I know all about regional price differences.I also run a painting company seperate from the roof cleaning that does very well. It was meant to just be a what would you charge poll to get away from the drama in some of the other threads going on at this time. I also put it in the premium side to avoid any issues with guys being honest with their numbers.
All right it would be nice to have a name with your choice?? Who are the guys saying they would ask more than $900?? Do you think you would get it at that price? What would help you in getting this higher price besides just asking for it?
Sell them on your quality service & the fact that nobody will take better care of their property than you. If you read The Pressure Cleaning Bible it will shed some light. I thought it was very helpful.
In VA, tile (we don't see tile much), no gutters, landscaping... 1200 - 1400. Might offer a discount if it's in the right place but keep it at no less than 1000.
Wow $1,000 or more???? I feel like an idiot!! Oh well guess this 1 will be a learning experience. Like they say...school is expensive!
Yea but you are in FL... home of the 99.00 roof cleaning! For FL I would think that your price an ok price. I can't really say much about that. Maybe some of those in FL can.
I think the real question aaron is , do you feel like you made out ok? here that would have been $1000.00 or higher, I just made 1500 on a lot smaller roof, but then again I'm not in flordia, so dont feel like an idiot. if you are happy with it, its all good, if you think the sale went to easy and they jump at it, then maybe it was to low... bottom line is Are you happy with the price ?

When I was doing decks in Va., aftermy 10th year I was way way to busy with all my repeat customers. So I decided the next year when customers would call I would double the price to hopefully weed some out. It didn't happen. They still said yes...lol
