I wanted to give a follow up to other states & regions of the country regarding holding their own RCIA Premium Members Meeting. This meeting was attended by six individuals that are Premium members from the Carolina's. This meeting was set up only for Premium members and invitations were made by phone calls & emails to all current members from Virginia, South Carolina & North Carolina. The Premium members from Virginia were also invited but several of them had just attended the open meeting in Maryland in December so unfortunately they didn't attend this meeting.
This meeting was held @ Spring Hill Suites by Marriott - Concord, NC which cost $100 / day for the meeting room which we all just split the expenses. We had this agenda which helped keep everyone on topic but during the day we also discussed several other items. The topics: 1.) Insurance: Health, Workers Comp, General Liability. 2.) Marketing tips: What has worked, What has not worked very well. 3.) Vendors: Equipment, Pricing. 4.) Safety: Items, Procedures. 5.) RCIA Mix: roofs, siding, concrete. 6.) New Products: Surfactant. We also invited Mike Pressley of Industrial Sign & Graphics - Charlotte, NC. www.industrialsign.com a newly committed RCIA vendor. They do all types of signs & vehicle wraps. Check out their web site.
By holding this meeting we all got to meet other RCIA Premium members from our regional area & started to develop a closer sharing relationship with our industry brothers. I fell we are not competitors but Allies. In holding a current Premium members only meeting there was more of an open feeling of discussions on all topics since we all have skin in bettering our industry, which includes RCIA. No one sitting on the fence about joining RCIA or not. There is a lot of information that people are getting for free off the forum but any business that is not willing to spend $100 to join RCIA we felt should not be a part of this meeting & getting more free information.
There were three contractors who brought their rigs along with two contractors who brought their wrapped vans. By having these vehicles present it gave everyone a chance to exmine them & get additional ideas on setting up their future rigs.
Several RCIA Premium contractors that were not able to attend this meeting due to other conflicts have already stated they would attend the next Carolina meeting which everyone felt we should get together at least once a year or possible twice a year. I have some pictures I will send from this meeting later.
These are great to really network and implement new ideas. They can be done any where, just put a call out to get together. It is like Talkshoe but up close and more personal!! Nice pics!!
DANG!! I would have loved to attend this meeting!!! I've been waiting on Membership info for a couple of weeks now.
I don't want to miss another one in my area. Where do I sign up?

Glad to see it went well, I do want to extend my thanks for your invite and when we talked on the phone. I was hoping to come down and drive my truck and share my set up with everyone but it was not in my budget. I still work and full time job and do my business also, last few months have been slow but thank you for extending me the welcome to attend but could not. I hope to be at more meetings this year and hope to drive my truck and share the set up with others around, just not to close to me, lol. Out of state is good,
