In a 5 gallon bucket: 3 gal. Water 2 gal. 12.5% Hypo 1/2 cup Hydroxide 1 cup of Dawn for cling ----------------------------------------------------------------------
I downstream this mix Chris and it works very well on these Pa houses. This mix is a staple ,.but it will vary. Mainly because I don't measure the liquids part,.just guess by the depth in the bucket,.Ha,Ha...
Pressure hose seem to "walk". So I also put a lid on the bucket with a hole in the center just big enough for the downstream filter and hose to go through,..and there are two little holes on either side of the bigger one so as I can use a zip tie around the injector to keep the hose in the bucket. I reinforce the hole in the lid with a piece of aluminum. If not,..the zip tie will eventually tear the holes. also, cut the hose so that it just reaches the bottom of the bucket,..other wise it will curl up and stick out of the mix when it begins to get low.
Hope I explained that ok,.Ha,Ha.. Maybe I'll take a picture.

My House Wash mix normally consists of Blah blah and a few globs of Bla Bla bla and just a small glob of Blah. I then mix it well in a 50gal tank or in my 125 tank for much larger jobs, downstream and follow up with a lite rinse.

Jeff, would I be right in assuming the hydroxide is powder?
Hey Tom, the hydroxide is actually flakes. It comes in granular type beads also but they tend to clump. The flakes dissolve much easier. Hydroxide flakes dissolve very easily in cold water.
I normally use a butyl based sodium hydroxide in liquid form. The sodium hydroxide will actually boost the ph level in your love which is a good thing when you need a bit of a boost to your mix.

In the OLD days, the all purpose cleaning mix was a mix of Chlorine, Sodium Hydroxide, and TSP.
yeah tsp was very common for acting as a detergent, i left it alone couple years back cause i don't like mixing with it (granular).
house mix= 2.0-3.0gal SH 2.0-3.0 gal H2O .5-1.0 oz Power House (sunbrite) .5-1.0 oz Rinse Aid (sunbrite) .5-1.0 oz Wet wax (sunbrite)
But TSP works, and it cleans good, just a PITA to mix compared to a liquid surfactant. How does that wet wax stuff work ? can u see a difference on homes washed with it?
