Jimmy, not bad just some advice on the pump location and battery. If you ever have any leaks it is going to drop right on top of your battery. If you need to keep it there than you might want to think of a plastic battery box with a lid to put it in. Good luck.

First thing I noticed. Also, i love the idea of the breaker box but that thing is gonna rust out quick.

James!  Looks like you'll be ready for business his spring bud, that's great!

In addition to the sound words above, I'd find a way to terminate the spiral intake hose to the TOP of the PVC down tube rather than routing it inside the down tube to the well tip.  Reason being, it's going to make a big mess every time you remove it from your mix tank due to all the extra surface area, and that'll be very hard on your truck.

You'll want to avoid metal fittings inside your tanks when you can too bud.

*edit* due to typo

great advice guys. i'm desperately trying to get ready. i've got a few jobs lined up and financially would really love to do some cold weather cleaning.

i might put some kind of splash guard to keep leaks from running onto the battery or may just end up chopping off the bottom of the box and using a battery box.

that breaker box is probably better looking than it is useful lol. i'll keep an eye on it and when it goes i'll either get another one or go with something with less metal.

i like the fact that i can unhook my hoses and take it inside with me to keep it out of the cold for now. when hot weather comes i'll probably go a different route to get more fresh air to everything.

as far as the metal fitting in the tank, do you think it'll get eaten up pretty quick? i'll probably go ahead and do what you said. it'd be pretty cheap to stick another piece of 1" pvc in there to reach the top of my tank and that way i dont have to worry about it.

thanks for all the great advice guys. i'm working on a logo for my business too since i changed the name from "nnk detailing" to "nnkps". i'll post it up when i get it finished. trying my hand at graphic design lol. i'm also really hoping to get my premium membership in the next week or two. again i appreciate the critique.

James, agree you need to protect that battery, if your worried about your equipment in the weather, do what I did, mount everything so it can be broken down and put away.

Everything on my trailer is broken down and put away in less than 30 minutes, tank and all.

Good luck

Peace

Great start. Add a clean water rinse port to the system so you can rinse everything out at the end of the day.

thanks AC, yeah in that third picture that yellow garden hose shutoff is going to go to a second tank with pure water for running through everything at the end of a job.

Jimmy if you have metal fittings and SH comes into contact with it, before long it will be eaten away and gone. Years ago when I first started I had a pump that I got from norhern, it had a handle that you turned and it slide down into the tank, like a plastic hand pump but the bottom was metal. I left it in the 55 gallon drum for just a few days, went back to the storage to pump chemical out and the entire bottom was eaten away from the SH. It will do damage to metal though, good luck.

Hey Jim looking good. I hope you and your girlfriend are well!! Please post more pics as you go and we can help you keep it right. Good decision!

If you are not going to remove the pump, you can run antifreeze through the system in winter months.

When are you comming up to see us?
