Joining any org that fits your industry can be beneficial. Some are newer than others and some achieve more than others, but just like the RCIA all these guys need members input and volunteers with time to help and contribute. All of these exist to help contractors and vendors help each other, by spreading awareness and good business practices. So please join all the orgs you can and try to contribute as well as take from the pool. The more we all work together to spread awareness the more we all have customers who seek out our services for true professionals.
Orgs can be very Benificial to its members, the PWNC is established. I always say if your deciding if the org is right for you ask the current members about there experience.
The good thing about the PWNC is that its Local, the only person that Operates it is Celeste. They do not have a BOD like others with members impute. If you Dont like something you call Celeste and address the problem.
Celeste is the PWNC, she is the owner and this has its benifits if your joining. Redtape truly doesnt exist, so as a member if your having a problem with GOV or Local issues she can help instantantly.
Again, her best refference is her existing members. Call them and ask them why they belong and if you should Join. This is how I would join any org, the nice thing I like about the PWNC is that its local. This is your largest benifit, PWNC jobs leads are not national. They keep the money in there backyard.
The PWNC site for local searches are right at the top of the pages. The listing lends you credability belonging to anything. This industry is so new that belonging to just about anything will trump a competitor.
Shoot, just that cool looking PWNC badge alone is worth it. It lends credibility, and can "steal" jobs for you.
Thanks Chris!! I'm getting pumped! It will good to see some old friends & make some new ones!
