Any comments on this tank that fits around the truck wheel wells? My concern is the bottom valve. Can I seal that so it won't leak I was thinking of offering him 75.00 and... his roof really needs a good cleaning.

What size tank is that? The fitting and valve looks rather small. what size are they?
I would not really worry about the bottom fitting. I've been using mine over a year and no leaks and it was a used tank that is about 5 yerars old.

Brett - that looks fairly big.  Keep in mind anything that will accommodate over 1000lbs of SH (or SH based solution) puts you in the hazmat/placard category and LOTS of additional DOT rules and regs.

I started off low budget, and decided that I like it and have kept the same set up even though I could do anything I want now.  I carry full strength SH in a BLUE  55 gallon drum.  The dark plastic prevents UV rays from weakening the SH quickly, although heat is still a factor in the summer.  I carry a 30 gallon drum for my mix and I typically mix on site, just enough for the job.  If I run out and need a little more to finish off a job - it only takes a couple of minutes. No big deal.

The combined weight of both drums, even full, is less than 1000lbs, but I have the capability to mix up a heck of a lot more than that while on the road if I need to.

I'm not sure what size it is. I was going to see what you all thought before I call him. Maybe I'll just give him a call, then I'll know what sizes it is.

I thought the DOT thing didn't kick in if it was mixed. Time for more reading if I consider the tank. It would fit well in my trailer and still be able to carry a 55 of SH.

Brett,

Tell him to give you a check for $340.00  plus the tank and you will clean his roof.  biggrin

or give him a 10% cash discount and save him -$34.00 Total of $306.00 cash plus the tank and you will clean his roof!

if he still don't bite... give him another 10% for a yard sign discount -$30.00 for a Total of $276.00 cash plus the tank and you will clean his roof?

Still not sold... Then give him the coupon from the flier in your truck for an additional 10% off -$28.00  Total $248.00 cash plus the tank and you will clean his roof?

How big is his roof?

Great idea Bob! The house if a good 2/10 mile off the road. From a distance, my guess is it would be about a 500 - 600 roof job.
