Great news Larry. We really do need to increase our vendor list and they sound like a great addition. Keep us posted. Gary
Thanks Gary. I also just got on my Insurace Companies preferred vendor list list. I'm gonna check with them to see if they can provide business insurance for companies that are not in FL. If they do I think it may be a good idea to maybe have an Insurance vendor on board for the guys as well. Any thoughts??? Here is a link to thier site. They handle very type of Insurance from vehicle to WC for companies. I've been with them over 4 yrs now and Love them.
I found the Ammonyx lo 30% local for $10 a gallon. I think it was 15 + shipping from PWP ouch... At this time we are testing an 100% thickeners to mix with 30% Ammonyx lo? But it is cold and chitty testing weather!

Did you find Ammo LO at a local store we may have here in Iowa?No... Bruce try looking up local soap manufactures in your area. We have an account at Univar however it was $850 for a 55 gallon drum. In Houston Texas the Univar here sells the Amm Lo at $556.75 and Mo at $629

$10 a gallon is a good price but are you stuck buying 55 gallons?
Our base price from Univar was a little higher and then the shipping from Chicago to Texas to Michigan killed it. I kept calling and trying to get a better price but I kept getting the same answer.
Univar told us it had to be shipped here from Texas :)
I started using ammonyx lo when Billy Jensen introduced it to RCIA last year. I like the ammonyx lo much better than dish washing soap. Some of the guys described it as making the mix stick like glue. I could never get my mix to stick like glue untill I started using a foaming wand at the end of my gun. If you walk roofs to apply the mix, a foaming wand will lay the mix out and it does stick like glue. Runoff is almost non-existent.
I didn't change anything with my mix. It's a combination of H2O, SH & ammonyx lo.
I started a thread in the members section where I posted a youtube video showing the foaming wand in action. I haven't figured out how to make the youtube video a part of my post here. Maybe someone will tell me how to do that.

Just copy the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ihXhLnyn9Q and paste it up top in the video link. How far will it shoot?
Thanks Bob for the how-to on getting the video imbedded in the post.
This nozzle is called the bullet from Lafferty Equipment. It will only shoot 5-7 feet in the test I did in my driveway. I have a roof tomorrow and hopefully will shoot some video. I'll give it a distance test on the roof. This nozzle could not be used to shoot a roof from the gutter line. Walking required to get full coverage. Lafferty has a number of options and can shoot foam 40 feet. If distance is a requirement it would be best to contact Drew Lafferty and let him go over what he has.
