Hello We are getting started and will be doing a little testing with the apple recipe.I am reading and trying to learn the ropes.Having the chance to go to a training session would be great.We are doing a test run soon.We have a compressor and 100 gallon tank with 200 ft 1/2 inch hose.Should we be using a 12 volt pump.If our set up will work,then any suggestions as to a tip ect.Looks like a great forum and one that we will be happy to contibute to,and help keep it going, as Im sure we will need help from time to time.

Welcome to RCIA;

What you have can be made to work, you just need to decide whether you are going to use an air diaphram pump with your compressor, or a 12 volt pump to spray the solution.
There is a vast amount of info in the search function  at the top of the page. After reading until your eyes bleed, the decision will still be yours to make. There are benetits and problems with both type systems, so read carefully.

Good luck!

Welcome to the RCIA.

Just from my own experience... Read, read, read and when you can't seem to find the answer, read some more. Some times members will post a link to a good thread that will help. But in the end the decision is yours like Gary said.

Welcome Granville.  That's a great name for your roofing company - Bone Dry Roofing  smile I can see a bull/steer skull in your logo  LOL

I suspect that roof cleaning will be a very nice addition to your roofing business.  I'm surprised by the number of customers that tell me "I spoke to a roofer (or my roofer) and he had no idea what I could do about those stains other than replace my roof."  That's typically a very good sign for me..  I win those clients almost always.

Ironically, I'm getting some calls about roof repair.    I'm not a roofer, don't even pretend to be one.  Sometimes I wish I were.  My wife's friend had a shingle or two replaced here recently in the DC area.  The roofer was on the roof for 5 minutes.  Cost her $250. And I thought my margins were good?!

Hmmmm.  I teach you roof cleaning and you teach me roofing.  A win/win LOL.  I wish it were that easy.

Good luck and figure out that search button for the forum.  You'll learn TONS in a matter of hours with it.  If I can help with the pc aspects or to field a question or two, feel free to call me or PM me.

Thanks for your reply. It is surprising that are no roofing companies that clean roofs.Our logo is a dog in it's doghouse with a bone in it's mouth while it is raining. We will need to tweek it for roof cleaning. I hope you are getting plenty of work.

$250 to replace a few shingles, WOW
 replacing shingles is as easy as 123, i offer this service when I bid a job,  I usually throw it in free with the roof cleaning contract.. takes a whole 5-10 minutes to replace a shingle, as long as they have the shingles... I dont want to clean a roof when there are shingles missing, of coarse if I had to purchase the shingles i would charge them for materials.... I also black jack all exsposed nails fix down spouts, install blown off siding etc.
