Roof cleaning with rain in the forecast
Permalink

I have been dealing with rain for the past two days.  The forecast for tomorrow is a 30% chance of rain from 6am to 1pm, 50% from 1-4pm and 80% after 4pm.  How do you judge when to clean when rain is in the forecast.  I am concerned that the mix will be washed off by the rain before it does its job.  I'm also concerned about SH runnoff on grass and plants.  Any suggestions?

try and hold out another day. Generally not a good idea to apply the sauce the same day its going to rain.

I did three homes today, we were expected to get rain this afternoon { still hasn't rained yet } The last one was an easy ranch. Dark clouds were over head and the breeze picked up, we set up and hit the roof in record time....the rain never came, but I was willing to risk it. I have done homes where half of it was done and the flood gates opened. We sat there for two hours, waiting for a window. When it stops you hit what you have to again and finish the job.I've also sat out in front of homes for an hour waiting for the rain to stop. You won't always have perfect weather, try to watch the forecast an schedule accordingly.

Hey Mark,
Can you take a few min and fill out some more information for your signature? City, state, and phone? This would give us an idea where the rain is lol.

I'm backed up on my outside painting so when I get a roof to clean I've been doing them during rain days.  I add a little extra sh.

I actually did one the other day and it started drizzle. The flatter areas did fine but the steep pitch areas had to be hit a couple times with a little extra juice. I prefer dry roofs it stick better! The nice thing about it was the plants got water for me :)
