What do you guys prefer to use. I have just bought a 16 foot cap over box truck that's fitted really nice. Lot's of head room and just plain room. But we also use a regular van. However we will be buying a new truck this spring, but I'm just not sure what. What do you use and like ?
There was another thread on this not to long ago.....I will just mention I had a box truck and almost broke my neck a couple of times. The wood flooring by the tail gate gets real slippery and stays that way for days. Watch your step thats a couple feet up......I finally fell from it the day I sold it.....crashed down my forearm first right onto a curb,I don't know how I didn't break it. BE VERY CAREFUL!
I like flat beds or truck mounted rigs. The gas from daily SH storage in an enclosed vehicle can eat it up. Not to mention what it does to the operator if not wearing proper safety gear.

Bill please stay on the subject this post is about box trucks or vans, and not flat beds!
I mean give me a break I just had a moderator Pm me yesterday saying to stay on the subject when I posted I prefer a flat bed over a open or closed trailer.
you moderators need to chill over this stuff, some people let authority go to their head lol
Box truck or van I'd say box truck. Both are bad though. Inhaling the fumes. Locking up is good. A job we did today was for a rental. The guy living there is a landscape contractor. Shared alot of knowledge. His enclosed trailers, broke into, but this PG County. Thats to be expected, lol!!
Never used a van or boxtruck. I have an enclosed trailer and a pickup rig. I like the enclosed trailer becuase "everything has its place" lol, that is a joke for Clyde. Seriously I love the trailer and I have it vented well, plywood, rubber floor, I know it has resistance and low gas milage, and all that but I have everything I need, always, and that is awesome. If I went back to an open trailer I would definitely get an alum like what Accuwash has.

I also use a box truck. It has worked out nicley so far, but I would agree on slippery, I have also a few times slipped getting out of the back of the truck. Those tethered handle straps do not work well when falling. I would recommend non skid paint on back step and about the last 2 feet of the interior box. This has made a tremendous difference.
