Scott revealed the cost of the item which may be assuming that it's a cheap and easily accessible item. I'm sure he left many minds scrambling given the one clue, including myself. In 2weeks I may know this secret also. Hey Clyde for 5 grand you can learn the $2 secret too.

Dave

Hey Dave,..this is what I was wondering,..and nice to see. We tend to make things over complicated. I like the way you say you leave it out when skylights are present. That shows thought and attention to detail.

I agree,..TSP turns out a better roof.

Sounds like a costly investment to me. I been using the basic mix I learned on here from the beginning and have no issue, though I do like to try new stuff. I like the track Jeff is taking on this subject, back to the basic's.

CH is probably the best thing I've used for longevity. If it weren't for the drawbacks with it I'd have switched years ago.

There are roofs I've done 5-6 years ago with CH that are still infection free.

Jeff

Wow that's some good longevity.

I recouped my AC costs already, from his advice.

What were the problems you had with CH?

That is because the TSP raises the PH and releasess the chlorine a little faster.  The risk to wood and glass with employees along with the enviromentall impacts are what stopped us from using it.

Scott I was breaking clyde's stones but I think you know. I'm about to spend that $ and I know it's for more than the 2 dollar secret.
Some guys mentioned the issue of dissolving tsp. My issue is trying to dissolve the Borax. It clumps together and I'm scared to clog my pumps. I use it but only in very small amounts. Anyone have a solution?

I got it.LOL Just putting my Maine sense of humor to it. Nothing personal. :)
Though I am sticking to the basic's as that works for me. Only secret I need right now is how to win the lottery. LOL

Bill,.I've started threads here a long time ago about CH and it's longevity. It does keep a clean roof for a long time,..almost too long,Ha,Ha... We came to the conclusion that it's because of its insolubility,..and it's not removed readily buy just a few rainfalls,...works like a time release. The downfalls is it's messy  to mix and will leave white residue on whatever it lands on,...so rinsing like mad is important.

Jeff

We are all curious as to what these new products are,..and I suppose we they will be available some time in the future. But I have yet to hear any results from these products,.... (And I did see the video)
So to the guys who don't know their secret,..not a big deal,...using the basic mix is gonna make you money. All of this scientific talk has been getting old,..AC made a big build-up with the whole Three Stooges thing,..but then it has kinda' just disappeared,...and in another thread we're hearing it's not even complete,...

The DCS1 website is still selling sodium hydroxide based roof cleaner,..and this is the company that is supposedly gonna sell AC's stuff.

Mike I tried hot water the first time I tried to dissolve Borax and it instantly clumped into rocks. Haven't tried the mixer though.

There is nothing more basic than chemistry and chemical reactions. I am just learning the ins and outs of these reactions as I am informing our customers of our methods. Clean and simple, like Algebra, a + b = love. (to be revised later) :)

Innovation is good, it means our industry is growing. It also reaffirms our methods by testing them. There will always be preferred methods by each company - we all want to work effectively, cost effectively!

Basic also equals "past the experimental stage",..not just in the components being used. What it amounts to is AC is here trying to sell his ideas and not share them,... which is fine  as this is America,..but .he seems to have a few of you believing he's just trying to help the roof cleaning World.
I'm just telling the guys who feel like they're being left behind not to worry,...the current method has been proven on thousands of roofs.

I'd say there's issues already with this new improved idea,...simply because"where is it?" no one seems to be commenting on the fact that it isn't really available yet,...and has already been stated thats it's not 100% complete.

But a certain few seem to be licking it all up,..and it has yet to clean one roof!!
I'm sure if it did,...there would be pictures and all of the rig and everything.

Jeff, with all due respect, nobody is lapping anything up. There are a lot of guys, such as myself, who can't wait to try this stuff and see if it does work or not. If it does work and if it can be had at a comperable price, it WILL help the industry AND AC will make a profit.

You're starting to sound like those of us who had an ax to grind with Lori, only its against AC.

Well Scott,..this guy comes here a few weeks ago just like he's got it all figured out,..like the whole industry is just gonna change with his great knowledge,...and there isn't any proof of anything. and some are lapping it up.

I thought he had credentials until I seen that he started all this stuff with no real complete product,...
Now I feel as though he's looking to sell to those who want to be in on the latest and greatest. And it's also funny that he never stands up for himself,..it's always the kool-aid drinkers coming to his rescue.

So,..whatever man,..he needs to put it out there,..for us to see and use....

I think others are doubting as well,...all I ask for is something substantial before we call this guy the great roof cleaning guru. He shouldn't have started the buzz a few weeks ago,...he should've just waited till Spring,...or at least till he was finished with this product.
