Ted you seem like a stand up guy yourself. I respect your professionalism! Also looks like we are within driving distance. We should get together sometime and compare notes. I'm going down for hernia surgery in December maybe we can meet sometime in January.

Thanks for the kind words.  Syncing up in January sounds great to me Mike.  (By chance are you a trout fisherman?)   We could even get Travis on the phone for a bit and have a Q and A session.  smile

Sorry to hear of the hernia.  Speedy recovery my friend.

As a matter of fact Ted trout fishing is one of my favorite past times. I was on the Mormans river this morning. However my little lady had me picking up rocks for our garden instead of fishing. Next time Iam going to tell her my hands are broke wink

Sounds like a plan come January Mike, once you're fully recovered.  We can talk shop and maybe catch a few brookies and 'bows too.   Seems that trout fishing is about all the cold weather 'round here is good for, at least since I gave up hunting.

We work the weekends. It's a great way to get the neighbours to come out and watch what you're doing. We always take extra sh with us. We left the shop to do only one roof, ended up doing many more on the block.

Does anyone work on weekends I don't mind driving out weekends to do free work

Travis - you're a bit a of a drive from me ( to put it mildly), yet you're welcome to join us any time if you're in the area.  Heck, I'll even pay ya.

This is a very good thought process you're having.  Try to find someone far enough away that you won't be in direct competition, yet close enough to drive to reasonably.  OR, drive far and make it adjacent to a good vacation  smile.gif (Mr. Tucker - you listenin'?)  Tampa is nice this time of year I hear.  LOL

BTW - my only 'real' competition in the area is a very stand up guy.  I respect the hell out of him, especially after sharing some private info with him during our first conversation recently. He'll likely benefit from that greatly.

Travis you should jump all over this!!!  The fact that someone will pay you to learn instead of charge you is an amazing stroke of luck for you.  It costs money to train an employee and we make them sign non-competes.  We used to charge $500  day for spray training to outside companys.  Delux, PWNA and RCIA all would charge you for physical training.  It's really cool of Ted to offer you this valuable service not only for free, BUT PAY YOU!!!   You now will get free info from the forum and you get paid to learn at Ted's jobs!!  You will be saving thousands and thousands of dollars in mistakes and lost time from this.

I 2nd what Bill just said. Man, I made a lot of mistakes starting out, it would have been nice to train with someone for a few days before jumping all in.

Couldnt we have a mini RCIA get together? Just throwing it out there. As long as its all driving distance and no hotel room.
