I've only used the 5850 and it is a great little pump but there are sometimes I wish I could get a little more distance out of it.

I have a 5850 with 200 ft 5/8 hose
I'm thinking about the fatboy with 200 ft 3/4 hose.

A fatboy with with 200' of 3/4 hose will give you over 40' of distance. This is what I use. Cut your hose in half and put in a quick connect. Using only 100' of 3/4" should give you over 50+' of distance.

The specs for the Fatboy says MPT for output.. and quick attach for the imput.

What is the quick attach? Is that just a barb?

I am using a 5850 with 300 feet of 1/2" Kuri-Tec and I am getting 42 feet with a 0030 tip. I know others swear by bigger hose but the 1/2" works for me so I dont see any need to change. I am using 3/4 AG hose from the tank to the suction side and discharge side to the hose reel.
