Hello, I wish I wasn't such a dud when it came to wiring or rewiring, but I am. I called Bob from Pressuretek since I brought this unit from him, completely wired. It's been used less than 10 times and the pump blew. It was rinsed everytime, but nonetheless, I brought another one so I could send the busted one back and still have a replacement. Bob told me to basically just look at the current setup and copy what I see. I felt like I was bothering him and didn't exactly get the feeling that he wanted to deal with me. Well, okay, I tried to duplicate what I saw, but the setups look different to me. Before calling again, I'd like to see if you guys could help me at all.
Have these pumps changed? There is an obvious difference in these pumps, the newest one has an additional piece that makes it so I am unsure of how to duplicate the wiring. It would have been nice to at least receive a wiring diagram to see how to wire the new pump, but I was told that one does not exist. If anyone has a wiring diagram or something that I could follow, that would be great.

Hi Phil. I just ordered another fatboy (back up unit) on Friday and am now curious if it'll be like your new one. BTW - Bob had gone home sick on Friday - may explain why he wasn't very talkative. Just a possibility.
There should only be two leads loose on these pumps; A 14 AWG ground wire and a 14 AWG 12vdc wire. It should only be a matter of replacing the connections one for one, and the plumbing of course. (You may have to adjust the pressure switch once that's done.)
Are there more than two leads from that pump? If not, it should be straight forward. I can take some pics of mine and send them to you tomorrow afternoon/evening if that'll help.
You should only have a black and a red wire coming out. Hook red to pos and black to neg. The difference you see is a relay that has been added to keep the motor load off the pressure switch.

Bob has always been real good to me over the phone. He has helped me fix a few problems over the phone. You must of caught him on a bad day(it happen to all of us). You can always ask for Andy as well there he's just as good as Bob.

There are only two leads, one pos and one neg, but the positive wire on the old pump seems to be cut and then branched off in to a separate connection as well. Since the pumps were visually different, a little bit, I was unsure of what to do. I will give it another shot tonight.
Ted, would you mind sending me a few pictures?
Thanks for the replies.

That looks like an awfull lot of corossion for being used 10 times!!! Make sure theres not roof cleaner sitting in the box with the pump. Did you drill holes in the pump box so it can drain? Wont hurt to rinse the outside of the pump with fresh water if it gets roof cleaner on it. Just sayin.
Yeah, that was after the pump busted, I threw my hands up and just let it sit after rinsing our my truck. Before the pump blew, there wasn't any corrosion on it.

Phil - I have the pics for you. Do you want me to send them to PhilRogers@extremecleaningsolutions.biz which I found on your website or is there another email address you'd prefer?
As an aside, my Fatboy looks like your original one. There is no visible relay assembly where the wires protrude.
Thanks for all of the help, everyone. Lori, thank you very much. I will call if we get stuck while working on this today. You may have earned a new customer.

Hey Ted, that looks like my original setup (without the relay), which is where I was confused because I couldn't exactly duplicate the connections. I work on computer networks full time, this is a part time business, so I am nowhere near a pump or wiring genius! :)
