New to the roof cleaning biz and this is my very first post. I found this site a few weeks ago and have been reading for hours ever since. The wealth of information on here is priceless. I am finalizing my checklist of everything I need and I am having a hard time finding a SH supplier. I am getting started late in the season and I plan on doing a test run on my dad's house. I do not need a 55 gal barrel of SH. I would like to buy a few 5 gal buckets if I can. I live in the Raleigh/Durham area here in NC. Any help will be appreciated. Once again I look foward to becoming part of the roof cleaning family and to be able to contribute some useful information in the future.
I found some at my local pool supply company. They had the 12.5 SH. They sold it in gallons for $4.99 per gallon. Expensive but I was just using it for testing. It did take several calls to find this supplier
Again ; try your locale water tratment plant, they buy it somewhere ( sewage plant) also look for janitoral supply companies, ones that supplies dry cleaners laundry matts etc etc etc ... best wishes

Had the same problem finding a supplier, you just have to spend the time calling around. I finally found a local supplier but had to go around the world to find them. Keep looking!
Go to the directory and look for someone in nc and ask for some help. You have got to have a pool cleaning store their, pinch a penny sparkle brite, something like that....
I agree with Grizzly try your local pool supplier at first. I am using the shock from mine and found a 40-50% is needed to do a good job. I've talked my dealer down to $4.8/gal. I plan to contact the local sewage treatment plant on Tues.
