What type switch set up do you guys use?

I have a wired pre unit switch that turns the fat boy on and off I picked it up from radio shack and its not making the grade wire fried on one of my field guys yesterday. What do you guys recommend?

Would a house light switch work?

Get a 40-50 amp. throw switch like they use for a/c units. with or without breaker.

What size wire are you using?? #6 or #8 is what you need depending on distance from power supply. use search function for details.

Or wire it via an appropriately rated relay, which will prevent the switch from carrying the load.

We use a 20Amp house switch with a 30 amp fuse link
in line...

Thanks for your answers I do presently have a in line switch with a 30 amp fuse but I think it must have just shorted out some how at the switch got a new switch and some thicker wire today and it worked great.
