Just to play devils advocate. I get calls all day of folks promising page 1 on different search engines. Now I'm not saying you cant do it, but if your selling, and 100 other SEO web builders offer it, and each one of them gets 10 clients who expect it, doesnt there come to a point where thers no more room? Is there limited space to page 1? Is it first come first serve? Or is it only promised to certain keyword?

Good question...
It's keyword specific, so the likelihood of 100 roof cleaners in New Jersey building websites and getting them optimized @ the same time is very low.

But Suppose even 20 do, you are correct there are only 10 spots on page one.

This is why SEO is an ongoing process... in order for me to get you to page one, some else has to get bumped down to page 2 right?.  so if they ever want to get back, they are gonna have to build some more backlinks.

I generally take on no more than 2 clients PER industry PER city.



So I may do a carpet cleaner , a window cleaner, a roof cleaner, a plumber, an accountant  all in New Jersey, but there is no way I would ever take on 10 roof cleaners who all service the same area. it would be impossible to guarantee results that way.

Now there may be 10 OTHER web guys trying to optimize sites for roof cleaners in your area, and all I can say is I can out perform them.  And you have to take my word for it, I can provide references of other sites I've optimized via email, but at the end of the day there is still a certain amount of trust that you have to extend to me, ya know?
