Certification, My 2 cents

Being able to say you are a certified roof cleaner on your website, postcard, business cards, etc. carries alot of weight. So if you have it on those things, you really don't need to carry around a silly piece of paper....Its already on your marketing material.

I had a new business card designed but im going to wait untill I get certifed before they are done so I can add that.

I agree that certification might include a certificate? It's kinda in the word, you know?

I'm putting together a portfolio, Made high quality copies of certifications, insurance, before n after pics, etc I have. To include the RCIA would be cool.

The more certificates the better to include it this portfolio. I push complete house cleaning not just roofs. Plus I'd like to get into some comercial work and think a profesional portfolio is the way to go.

I have the RCIA on my truck, trailer, cards, shirts... just about everything. I may never meet the one in charge, commercially, they may only see the portfolio. I have copies of certificates etc in the portfolio but not one for the RCIA?

Also, we all know some homeowners take a few weeks to decide on which contractor to decide on. You may be the first there. After a week your personality and charm is forgoten, just your biz card.... OR portfolio with all your credentials!

Look at it like this. You and me bidding the same commercial roof. Our only comunication is with the secretary. You leave a business card with the logo on it. I leave a portfolio with copies of everything. Even if you lowball me I look more qualified at a higher price.

Hey maybe I'm wrong? lol!!!

I guess I don't understand how this will enhance credibility. Are you really going to carry it around with you in a frame and show it to customers????

Credibility is where you send them to RCIA to see that you are on the list. Heck I can make one up and print it out in 10 minutes and they would never know if it was real or not.
