How much hose do you carry?

I'm the 100 ft guy in the poll. lol! The line on the hosereel. Other reels too. It gets loose? Has to be pulled out and rewound? How do ya fix that?

If it comes loose just riding down the road, then you need a brake or lock on your hose reel. You could also wrap a bungee cord around the hose and reel to keep it tight.

If you're referring to a pressure hose coming loose on the reel while your using it, well thats gonna happen. Even with a lock.

We unroll ALL our hose to begin with. Less restriction and maximum flow. Especially high pressure hose when down-streaming. Better draw rates if hose is not wound on reel.

Yea it comes loose when i use it. Was wondering if someone had an idea.

That makes sense Mike! I been thinking that too.

Some of the houses we have done had jussst enough line too!!!

I'm going to upgrade 2 of the 3 hose reels to 200 feet, Keeping the backup 100 ft of high pressure on truck for a total of 300 on that line. Still not as much as some of you guys. A step forward for us.

We use

250ft on our chem line
250 High Pressure Per machine on rig=500ft
And normally have at least 50-100ft of spare high pressure hose for backup if needed.

I do the 150 on the reel and keep an extra 2 coils of 50 ft in the truck on the chel line. I only do residential and haven't needed the extra yet. Same on the pressure. I have 100 ft on the water hose.

If you dont need to unreel your entire high pressure hose, take a bungee and wrap it around the hose a couple of times. itll never move
