They Cyclone may be a polyproylene and nylon pump with fiberglass reinforcement. These pumps do not last for the kind of work that the RCIA members require.

Sodium Hypochlorite attacks the fiberglass and causes breakthrough leaks the size of pinholes. They are quite expensive. The cost is between $1895 and 2695. According to Udor, sodium hypochlorite gas breaks down the integrity of the fiberglass within the nylon. At 200 psi, one must use a size 50, 60 or 70 nozzle. That is a lot of chemical to put up on the roof compared to other methods.

These systems are expensive compared to $250 or $1135. The Cyclone runs between $1895 and $2695.

These are popular in the agricultural industry.

That's right Lori, sounds like you've spoken to Chris or remembered reading his experience with these pumps.

I remember Chris saying his Udor pump suffered the same fate you have just warned us about.

Great post.

I would tell Chris that he might look at re-looking at the new designs.

Do you folks want to find the best or just stick with what you got.

Allflow is a good pump also!!!!!!!!!

Lori have you ever cleaned a roof, or even used a pump on a roof?

Fixing and repairing pumps and selling is alot different than being in the field sweetheart.

I was referring to this part of the comment only.
I appreciated the rest of it.

I'm lost....I simply stated and opionion that I know as fact. Similiar to the movie Back to School....manuals dont mean much.

I started out in Fleetwashing 25 years ago......udor will throw all those things it says it wont.

Second, that 3500 psi hose will actually work on 10,000 psi but it says not to use it.

99 percent of the PW on the market are under powered with Pumps that are rated way below the actual rating. Does that mean they dont operate at what they say?

I was just saying that in my opinion post should be limited to responses like this part and leave the personal dig out.

I think I'm just going to stick to threads that you guys aren't in for a while, lol

The Cyclone pump also has an unloader attached to it.

Chris Tucker will also advise against this because that is the first thing to fail.

Even if Udor has made improvements to the pump, it wouldn't matter because it still operates off an unloader.

So no, the cyclone pump is not the best choice for roof cleaning.

An air compressor with a kynar air pump is.

Lori is not bashing other distributors, she's posting facts.

Ron why dont you explain why you are posting other distribters/ competitors to PWP that happen to coincide with your current personal beef with PWP..

Also save the member sh%%.. Your post have yielded no helpful info that I have seen.Im also a member and likewise ,my post have yielding nothing at all ..Just wanted everyone to see how I was treated by the previously mentioned distributer..I guess your to shallow to just let us all see and decide if this is someone we would like to deal with..

You sure do go to some lenghths to avoid posting this.Maybe cause they sponsor events.
Had several replies of problems and dealings with John from members and admin..

I dont care what you do...I have legitimate beef that was never taken care of and wanted it on record for everyone to see..It was removed from PWI for no other reason than to cover up the Unprofessinalism on Johns part..As i recall.alot of people were interested and questioned why post was removed as the only one acting disrespectful was John and they to had commented on his lack of character and the manner in which he was handling this..

I believe what I beleive, you beleive what you believe. Chris I will respect but we will argue if he trys to tell me and Udor is no good.

Maybe I'm miss understanding that we cannot have opionions or objections?

If thats true that Sucks, so did you ever get any use out of the Pump?

Should have called me back, I think I remember this one. I was under the impression it was fixed.

Call me, I'll give you Pauls Cell number.

I feel for you, but as you can see if Dist want to lie or steal they can. Unless people tell there side of the story.

I'm a very honest person and speak my mind, often until it gets me in trouble.

People do not want to hear the truth most of the time because sometimes its ugly.

I have a wife, she recently had to listen to another contractor tell her I made a pass at a certain other person. Those types of things are wrong and can hurt my family. Some people try low things!!

For me what I look for is this:

1. Dependability. How long will this last under the conditions
2. Price. How much will it cost me over 1,3,5 years.
3. Ease of use.
4. Solo or Symbyote. Will it work by itself or do I need another piece of equipment to support it.
5. Does it get the job done.
6. Do I have to break the design to get it to do what I want. (warranties)
7. Are replacement parts or rebuild kits available?
8. How field serviceable is it?
9. Can I buy it locally?
10. Do I like it? (personal versus logical)

With those things in mind I currently run a pump system most would laugh at.
But it works for what I'm doing NOW and can be used in the future to support other operations.

I would love to see a side by side comparison of 6, 8, or even 10 different pumps.
