Leaking Chemical Tanks !

Well, guess what ? BOTH of our 300 gallon chemical tanks sprung leaks last week.
These are heavy wall tanks, and not cheap to replace! I have had leaking tanks "welded" before with poor results, caused by the weld material being Nylon.
I found a place that claims they can repair the tanks as good as new using Poly type material, the same as what the tanks were made out of. If it works, it will sure be cheaper then 400 dollars for each Tank to replace them.
I will let everyone know how this works out.
My air pump on my back up truck refused to prime today too, but a shot of WD 40 into the air line fixed it!
WTF else is gonna go wrong  ??

I don't think so, but Maybe, if you can get it on thick enough ?

People underestimate the force of 300 gallons chemical rolling around, that is 2100 lbs smash against side of tank. It is kind of like duct taping a pressure hose. I have tried JB Weld on pump heads that have cracked, never any luck.

Nothing lasts forever. Nothing. Might as well get some new tanks. Had all-flo lose prime today myself. On the plus side, I didn't fall off the ladder. No chem burns, either. Pretty good day.

I will know tomorrow, if the tanks can be repaired or not ?
They insist the repairs have lasted on acid slurrys, but I will have to have some kind of warranty.

We have all had those days bro. We bent a sprayer bar and ended up spending 5K on a new machine and sprayer instead of just replacing the bar.
