i know everyone is probably tired of hearing all these SH questions but let me shoot another one at you. is there anybody getting their SH from Univar? im located in southern cali and they gave me a price of $3.48 per gal in 55 gal drums. ooouuucchhh!!! im currently purchasing my SH from a pool supply store at $3.25 per gal but my only concern is that i can probably get fresher from a chemical distributor. i have'nt seen any posts from any california guys, but if you're out there please give me some input? thank you for your time.

I have been getting mine from a pool supply this year because they are getting fresh SH delivered 2 times a week right now. Sometimes Univar's SH might now be as fresh as the pool supply. Also with the pool supply I get whatever amount I need not just 55 gallons at a time and since it is cheaper that means more profit.

that's what i've been doing too. i'm currently getting it for $3.25 per gallon and it comes in 4 gallon cases which makes handling and transporting much easier. the only thing that bothers me is not knowing if i can get fresher from a chemical distributor.

I find Univar extremely over priced up here in Canada. I found another chemical supply place that gets fresh SH weekly and is half the price as what Univar charges for 12.5%...

I think we're on the same boat HydraMax. I recall reading on a prior post what people were paying for a 55 gallon drum from Univar and it seemed like a good price. But soon realized that prices vary from state to state. Guess California and Canada is not included on their "great price for SH" list.

Their pricing on SH in Canada and Cali, is probably the same as our gun laws......Sh!tty!!
I remember talking to my Univar rep and he said they couldn't even get close to the price that they other company was selling it to me for. The more I think of it, I should buy a 10 ton with a flat deck, mount a 2k Gal tank and start selling it to Univar!
