Anyone done warranty roof cleaning from a shingle company?

I got my first call for a roof warranty about 2 weeks ago to go and bid. I gave him all my info and sent him an estimate, and he said he was going to turn it in on his warranty. Sure enough, I got a call from him today saying that Temko is going to pay me to clean it. He sent me a copy of the cert that i will have to sign and mail in when the work is completed and they will mail me a check. I guess this guy bought alge-free shingles and they got mold on them within their time frame. He had to send in 2 of his shingles and get a roof cleaner to give an estimate and them to okay it...

Anyone else ever do warranty work with shingle manufacturers?

Did one of these a couple weeks ago. Customer payed extra for the algae resistant shingles, and 2 yrs after the roof was installed it was covered. Manufacturer is paying for roof cleaning for next 10 years!

We did our 1st warranty work 4 weeks ago...
Basically same scenario...
Client sends estimate and shingle sample to Mfg.
and received authorization to clean...
We sent in bill and promptly received check within
1 week...
Like 2 do these all day long...

We have done quite a few. They always make us send them before and after shots to prove it was done so make sure you get those. They are fast payers too usually within a week or week and a half.

We do some warranty work, but many roof cleaning customers under warranty just pay us, vs the hassle the shingle manufacturers put them through.

I have not done any warranty roof cleaning..... What involvement does the roofing contractor have? I would think the contractor would be in the middle of the situation.

We ate at the Jimbo's on Kennedy Jimmy, it was ok, nothing to write home about. Actually, the ribs tasted more boiled then smokedblankstare

I have a black friend (authority on BBQ) who swears Jimbo's in Lakeland is great, and much better then Tampa. Personally, I like some roadside BBQ Places ! On 60 and County Line rd, there was a guy with a roadside smoker from hell that had great BBQ Ribs, and was not shy about feeding you either!

And yes, we do shingle manufacturer warranty roof cleaning
