Bob did you put the " green toad " up there your-self?

I have had everything from giant bugs, snakes, and even two dogs on the roof with me--but never a toad.

Yea, we get them all the time in Fl. They live in the plumbing pipes that come up through the roof. I screamed like a school girl when one jumped on my face while I was changing the out the lead.

If it was a snake I would have been off that roof faster than you could ever imagine!

It did startle me, and it was strange to see it on the peak, so I had to ask if anyone else had seen this.

Last week I chased out 2 bats from 2 different jobs. I wasn't quick enough to cut the sprayer then grab my camera out of my pocket and turn it on to get a picture of them. However I will say It's a good thing I bring a second set of shorts with me.

Never a frog, but wasps and bird nests with eggs, yes. Just had to be extra cautious. Came back a week later and the eggs had hatched.

Never on a roof, but certain areas around here I always find them behind the downspouts...I guess they are tree frogs?

I've harvested a couple of buckets of raccoon crap from one, but haven't seen the roof toad yet. He probably doesn't drop much of a load though...

The only animals I ever see on the roof are birds and squirrels, and hopefully nothing else.

Ok guys, this is a VERY serious topic, for real! Imagine, someone coming to your home, and hurting YOU ? Frogs LIVE in gutters, vent pipes, chimneys, and on roofs. They are reptiles, and breathe through their skin. When chemicals from roof cleaning run into gutters, you can  hear the frogs. They are in extreme pain, but just can't tell us! Rinsing off a roof frog right away is job one here. I have talked to Vetrinarians about this. If a Frog can not be rinsed right away, I was told to finish them off by intentionally spraying them, to send them into shock and death cry
This sounds cruel, but if not rinsed off right away, the Frog is suffering,, in much the same way you would be with battery acid shot up your veins cry
On a roof, you can't smash the frog with a rock, or your foot.
Try to scare the Frogs first, before cleaning, by taking a stick in the gutters, vent pipes, etc, or by blowing them. The Frogs are usually only too happy to haul azz.  Remember, they LIVE up there, and are creatures of the creator too. "Thou shalt not kill" any part of that you dont understand ?
