Well said Chris. I have followed the information and was planning to attend to finally meet all the knowledge of Non Pressure Roof Cleaning from all over the country that are going to be in attendance. Couldn't understand why you were only going to be a speaker and not listed in prominance, your above response now makes sense.
With all that said, on the lighter side. I speak Spanish on a native level, worked many years farther south where I needed the skills. The former head of the US Border Patrol is retired in Tampa, can I bring him as my guest? We can ask lots of questions in Espanol and check everyones Green card. On a good day you can have 3 workers Manuel, Jose, and Roberto all with the same SSN makes for a real comedy show. Like the lights coming on at a really bad Honky Tonk at last call or roaches leaving the kitchen when the cook shows up in the morning at 5 AM to start his day.
I was NEVER asked to even be a speaker Fred! And I will not, as long as my local competitors name is ASSOCIATED with it either! You are a Charter Boat Captain Fred. Say I was a Captain myself, and suckered you, and all the Charter Boat owners from Tampa to Sarasota, to pay and attend the "Tampa Bay Redfish Symposium" ? One day, several of your regular customers disappear, you call them, and hear this "Sorry Fred, but we decided to book with Captain Chris instead" ! You ask why, and hear this " Well Fred, his prices were lower, and besides Fred, he puts on the Tampa Redfish Symposium, you were merely an Attendee" Get my drift Captain ???
I just had the pleasure of talking to Marcus on the phone about his compressor and this round table issue. I just want to take a moment to thank you Marcus and many others who have called me and other forum leaders to express their concerns for the board, industry and group as a whole. Its guys like you that make all this happen and all input and advice has helped us see a bigger picture and acheive this awesome community we have today.
I have not ever met Ron or Kor face to face. I have spoken to Ron a few times and I beleive I spoke to Kory once. Both seemed like intellegent, carring and hard working men. Both seemed to have the industry as well as their own affairs at in mind and in their hearts. I truely hope this can be worked out so we may work better together. Unfortunettly we are all in the same line of work (more or less) and that means we are all competitors. If we can find a way to be such without crushing one another or offending one another it would be grand. (and probably hard to acheive :) )
I will attend the event if our founder will, otherwise I will not. I have no intention of badmouthing either party and truely understand that it's hard to be friends and competitors and educaters and industry icons all at the same time. I have never physically attended a round table event and have not truley ever introduced myself to the pressure washing community. I have plenty to learn just like anyone else and value what we have created here and respect the power and motivation of PWP as well even though I do not take the time to post there. Truely to earn my disrespect one must prove that they are more focused on goals other than the ones they state to people. Such as the way many roof cleaning franchisors sell PW equiopment to people knowing that the shingle manufacturers warrenty will be voided by this process while telling the franchisee that they have the franchisees success in mind. Or the way ARC tells people they know how to market roof cleaning when they are start ups and failed companies and are just figuring it out on their own.
Make NO Mistake Bill, these Roundtables are money making ventures for those at the TOP of the Pyramid. All well and good, I have nothing against someone making a buck. The way they are currently set up needs changing, IMHO. Many of you here at RCIA may not be as familiar with them as some of us are. The organizers of these in other places like Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, and others are kicking ass with work, every one of them. Why ? Because these Roundtables make THEM look good to potential customers, in their local markets. It is indeed a sad state of affairs that literally by renting a Hotel Room, and arranging a few odds and ends for a weekend, some local competitor of yours can set himself up as THE EXPERT in your local area!!!!!!!! It will matter not how much time you have spent helping others, or paying your dues. I want NO part of it, unless something changes, and changes FAST. IF National Cleaning Expo's wishes to have these Roundtables, let THEM come and put them on, and I will attend, and suggest my friends do too. But to place one of Mine, and your Local Competitors as the organizer of these Roundtables makes a mockery of all us local guys who show up and pay our money, only to have our throats cut all year long by the "Chosen Son"
You can crank out ALL the videos you like Ron, and post them here. I am NOT "against the roundtables". It is real simple, take Kory Finleys Name OFF the Tampa Roundtable, since it is YOUR Roundtable, or "National Cleaning Expo's" LOL - Kind of like Haliburton is Haliburton, though everyone knows Dick Cheyney was behind it ! The way your Roundtables are currently set up needs changed. They make whoever does your groundwork look like a Rose, at the expense of the local guys who support them in Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, and here in Tampa. I have the credentials to fight Kory in the marketplace, but what about the poor little guy in Myrtle Beach, 3 months behind on his bills, who gets blown out by your chosen son in Myrtle Beach Jeff LeCours ? Or what about the mom and pop team in Las Vegas who have their biggest account taken by Tony Shelton who does your Las Vegas Roundtables for you ? You preach about how PWI is "for the contractor", well walk the walk, don't just talk the talk ? Explain HOW picking ONE Guy in a local area, and glorifying him, at the expense of others, is "for the contractor" Imagine if I used RCIA to go to Bill Booze's hometown with a National Roundtable, and chose one of his and other local peoples competitors to get credit for it ? What you are doing is devastating to the other local guys you SAY you care about. Don't preach me a Sermon Ron, show me a Sermon.
It is real simple; take Kory Finleys Name OFF the Tampa Roundtable, since it is YOUR Roundtable, or
Chris I Believe you’re looking at 2009 event. Opps
Chris the 2010 event has nothing to do with Kory.
However I truly appreciate all contractors that help, from Joe, Mike, Jeff, Scott and all the other 15 in the last years.
I would be disrespecting them if I didn’t say that.
I will post more about this when I can, Marcus responded to the thread. He came last year and Attended the event. It was a great event and we missed you, I missed you personally, hanging out with the Master Expert roof cleaner in the world was and always will be and honor. (Even if you choose not to attend Chris I hope we eat Dinner at the Columbian?) I'll buy
Chris speaking at the event I assume was a no brainer. I first would need you to support the event 100%. If the master Roof guy Chris Tucker wants to speak of course we would honored you speak at the event.
Chris we have all sorts or org associations at the all NCE events. They attend for free, RCIA fits in that Class. RCIA like Last year is welcome to have a booth for free. Just like CETA, IWCA, PWNA, UAMCC and any other industry leaders.
Your comments about this is a money making event, yes it is Chris. But you forgot that the event is Free for contractors to attend if they stay at the Hotel. If you’re not staying at the hotel a small fee per person will be collected. 25.00
Have you seen the line up? Even your good friend Joe will be doing a demo for Recovery for all the Flatwork guys.
Chris I'm not afraid my competitors and you shouldn’t either.
If you don’t want to learn from the experts I have assembled to better your businesses I would not attend also.
I will post a few Later today , If anyone doesn’t come I'm not going to worry about it. We had around 15 RCIA guys cancel last year at the last minute to only call after and wish they had attended.
Next Chris, Lori has bought a Hot water Unit and committed to giving this Away at the event. Lori and her company need contractors attending. We expect 200 or more for this event. I know we will get 150 as the event already has over that registered.
No doubt Chris you have people who are loyal and if you say do not attend they will, I have to tell you Chris that’s selfish of you. These guys have and opportunity to Meet REX & Lori in Tampa along with many other brothers as you call us. If we are truly Brothers in this Business then lets come together as one not with all this Division.
Anyone can use NCE as promo for their business who attends these events. If you didn’t I would consider you foolish. Its advance marketing. Continuing Education is well received in the Property management world. I promote you use it for your business, we are all brothers and we should be helping each other.
Any other Questions Please list
1. 2. 3.

LOL, well, my comments were based on the 2009 Tampa Roundtable. I looked a little closer, and found out THIS 2010 Tampa Roundtable is DIFFERENT This one is not "all about" Kory Finley, my friend, and local competitor. This Tampa Roundtable is put on by National Cleaning Expo's, and will say so, right in the Program. So, I can and will support this Tampa Roundtable, and will speak at it, IF asked to do so.
Chris, I am honored that you see me as a competitor. I am by no means as experinced as you in roof cleaning. So it is truely an honor. I think it would be great to see you speak at the NCE event in Tampa. In the name of continued education how can I donate to the RCIA?
Since Chris is drawing a roof cleaning crowd, can we get some money donated back to RCIA, Ron?
Sure Lori, if you want to donate some of the 1000's you will make from attending the event to RCIA I think all the guys here would love it.
Keep in mind Lori will be there with a full Shop waiting to take your orders.
Maybe You could even to a presale to the event Lori and give back to RCIA guys? Maybe a Discount or even a dollar amount for every dollar spent.
Lori this is a great idea to help support the industry that supports you. Way to go, Plus guys Lori herself is donating a Hot Water unit Valued around 4000.00
This unit is the appreciation to all who buy from her & Rex.

Kory, you know it is not personal, I will always consider you a friend. And, I don't blame you for having used your involvement as the organizer of PAST roundtables in your sales pitch. We all use our bullets, as best we can. There is no "problem" anymore, because this is not "your roundtable", it is an NCE Cleaning and Training Event, and not "Kory Finley's Tampa Roundtable" As I told Ron, Lori has had her customers call her, and voice concerns about her donating the 4000.00 Hot Water Skid, to benefit YOU, at Their Expense in the marketplace I was assured by Ron this is NOT the case. At the Top of the RCIA Forum, there is a donate button, if you would like to make a donation. My friend Joe will also be speaking in Tampa, and he will be a real treat. I look foreward to Tampa!

I will be there and would like to speak on behalf of the rcia. I have some nice marketing techniques I could share or maybe some positive additude management and goal set planning.
Also recogniton for the rcia in a news letter would be a big step. We could also discuss how to build a trade association there. I will be in touch with Chris and Ron soon to hash a plan out.
