The stuff works great!!!!!!!!

out of thousands of houses I washed, I only recall about 3-4 people complaining about the smell of SH, actually everone loves the smell, they said it smells clean.

We Cleaned a whole Town Home Association today. Shingle Roofs, all the buildings and all the Concrete. We used the Green Apple scent in the mix from Lori and the Homeowners thought it smelled great. They couldn't even smell the SH at all and we went though 140gals of fresh SH. I gotta say the stuff is pretty darn awesome.

I always tell people to shut any open windows,...as the smell can be intense if it is trapped in a small area. Outside though, there is only a clean fresh smell that no one seems to mind.
The Ammonyx Lo is a lot friendlier where the smell is concerned. Didn't realize how bad Dawn and SH smelled together until I used the Ammonyx Lo. The Dawn and SH are incompatible and the smell of it is evident to me now. Will be using the Ammonyx Lo from now on.

I actually have used Vanilla Extract in my house wash mixture and my customers love the smell. So try that for something that is cheap and readily available.

I also have used Simple Cherry from Pressuretex in my mixtures also. Maybe overkill because Simple Cherry is a detergent but smells great.

That is a very good point. When I do roof cleaning or house washing I will take the dog and cat bowls out to the yard and turn them over so nothing gets in them. Before putting them back I will still rinse them out to clean them some and then put fresh water in them so the animals can get a drink.


I have had some people question me about the bleach smell before cleaning and I explain to them that the bleach is what helps kill the mold, mildew, algae and fungus. Some had asked if other things could be used and I explain that nothing works as good, will take longer to clean and will cost a lot more but I do have some chemical masks I can add to the job if the SH smell will break the deal.

I had one lady tell me on the phone that she is allergic to chlorine and the painters were going to use that to clean the house before they paint it and just wanted my opinion. I told her that using the SH is a good idea because it will kill the mold, mildew, algae and fungus that is on the surface of the house and if it is not killed before painting it will come through the paint and ruin the paint job, I have seen it happen a lot here.

I have not tried the apple fragrance that Lori sells yet, I want to as soon as I can, I read all kinds of good things about it here and on the other bbs's out there.
