Thanks to all who have tried to help me with my Delavan pump issues. Today was the last straw.
Had two jobs scheduled and had my trusty "Fatboy" ready to go. About half way through the first job, I could feel the thing loosing power and by the end, nothing was coming out of the nozzle.
Had to come back home, and "luckily" had ordered a "just in case" pump, that was to come via Fedex today. The Fedex guy came, and I gave him a big hug when he delivered my new 5800. I quickly fitted my new pump and went to my second job of the day.
God darn thing stopped about 3/4 through job #2, nothing. Replaced the 30 watt fuse and tried again................NOTHING!
Had a neighbor come over and asked me to do his roof, and had to tell him that my pumps are down.
I called Lori tonight about 7 PM EST and she is sending me a new All Flo. She truly gave great service and I will have my new setup by Friday afternoon.
I cannot keep praying to the Lord that the 12V will work any longer. They are crap and will not buy another in my lifetime.
I know it is very expensive, but the pump obviously is the heart of our operation, and needs to work when asked to. I am fed up to the ears with losing suction, charging the battery, rinsing the pump, and still not working.
Take it from an idiot newbie.............They suck!!!!!

I am new to the roof cleaning forum but have been pressure washing since 2004.
I just put together my Delavan roof cleaning kit this weekend. I too had and issue with the fuse blowing after about 15 minutes of me testing it out.
I called Bob, on Monday and he informed me that my battery may have not had a full charge on it. Which is true since I bought it about 3 weeks ago and had not but the thing together yet plus not knowing how long it had sat on Sears shelf.
I fully charged the battery and changed the fuse and it works fine. I hope you give it another shot. Good luck with the all flo...
Dont let air in your hose be the cause of this. It may take a good minute or two for the air in your feeder hose to get through the pump until it kicks in. Have never had a problem.
Different strokes for different folks I guess...lol. I've been using delavans for a few years and have never been let down. I have upgraded to a different system this year, but not because of distaste for the 12v pumps, I just happened to get a deal on another type of set-up. Oh, and there is nothing like waiting for new equipment to arrive, it's like Christmas, lol! Have fun with the new pump
I am sending it back to Pressure tek for the second time, this time to get my money back.
Brad drop it off to Mike with confident roof cleaning, every weekend he drives all the way to Cleveland to spend the weekend with Bob from pressure Tec
I will have to agree with Mike i have been using my fatboy for over a yr now it has never let me down, remember the fatboy likes everything big, listen to mike and read more, do the right setup, if you are blowing fuses it sounds to me that the pump is to far from the battery and you are using to small gauge wire... i have never ever blown a fuse.... make it a great roof cleaning day
