Well, I wanted to hold off till it was done, but my freinds has been real jammed up so im just waiting for the mesh for the tailgate, a good sanding and Paint!
I paid $300 for the trailer on CL, i picked it up becouse it was built like a house, all solid angle steel, 5k axle, but she wasnt pretty, however she will be!
From there I am going to Put 2 signes on each side just under where it 45's for the ladders at 6'x18" and then another on the rear gate!
Going to load it up with an all-flo, hitachi compressor, Kuri hose, Alum Reel, all via PWP
And a 125 gal tank from Tank-Depot ( whom i will never order from again ) I ordered a tank with NO bulk head, and got one anyway ( a week late as well)
Can't wait to see it finished, I get as excited as a kid at Christmas when I get to put new parts together. I am using a cheap old 5x8 trailer set up now. A nice heavy duty larger trailer will be our first major upgrade. Send those pics when you get her "pretty".
That trailer looks to be coming along nice. I saw that you mentioned mesh. Hopefully u were only thinking of using it for the tailgate. Use good treated lumber for the floor. If u can afford it put down some sort of rubber over that. At the least, caulk the open cracks between the boards to keep the love from spilling onto the axle and other vital parts.
Right now would be a great time to have it professionally sandblasted then coated with the bedliner stuff, easy to turn the trailer on it's side to do the bottom since you don't have the boards or any equipment on it yet.
That is an interesting way of making a ladder rack.
