Bed of truck set up.

We have a third work truck that is mostly sitting.  It still has our salter in the bed from salting over the winter.  We are thinking of maybe going with the pick up truck instead of a trailer or box truck for now.  Some neighborhoods with really bad algae has horrible access for box trucks and trailers in the way.

Those that use trucks, what do you like about it or dislike?

and what do you do regarding ordering larger quantities of SH.  Do you fill up per job or have them load the drums into the bed?

Email me pics of the truck set up if you have some.

Thanks

I have a Ford f150 and love it. No trailer (tried that) I have my tank against the back window, and pump and hose real in the middle of the bed.

When I have to pick up my SH, I have to take everything out of the bed to accomadate the pallat of SH, pain in the neck, but worth it.

I like the idea of the 15 gallon drums too.

If you start hauling that SH in your truck it will be destroyed in no time?

It has a spray in liner and handles all the left over salt from the spreader. But thanks for the heads up. Should we take any other precautions on the bed/frame below?

I will ask our supplier if he can break the drums down to 15 gallon ones. Maybe if we supply them with the drums they will work with us.
