3 weeks ago me and my buddy went out on a saturday with 200 gal batch. with no work lined up just me and my boy and my truck. we started at 9:00 am i knocked on every door that had a ugly roof. now i got a 14ft box truck lettered with pics, a good flyer, and a good rap. by 2:30 i have knocked on over 50 doors ( hate the dogs barking) and was rejected every time. most would give up long time ago. and i was abought to. but finally at 3:00 i got one, only charged him $250 but the neighbor wanted his done. did his then drove down the street and got another and so on.
to make it short, out of a 200 gal batch we did $800 before dark. gave my boy $200 (hey why not he gave his day cause he belived in me) the batch was $150 so it was a good day the point im makeing if you can knock on 50 doors and take nothing but rejection, and stilll put $ in ur pocket not only can you be a roof cleaner you can do any thing you want

Dan, as a real estate broker, I love to hear these stories.  I tell the realtors at my company if they will make 50 calls a day they will close 3-4 deals a month which pays around 7500-10000 a month.

Some do and some don't.  I know sales is a numbers game and it's great to hear your SUCCESS STORY.   Thanks for sharing.

ABOUT 5 HOUSES THAT I KNOCKED ON, GIVEN TREE ALREADY HAD THE JOB OUT OF RESPECT I SIAD THEY WERE A GOOD COMPANY AND WALKED AWAY.
BUT GOT IT THROWN IN MY FACE WAS CALLED A RACIST

That's great Dan,  We went into a neighborhood last Monday to do one job and we have been there all week and will be back next week to do two more jobs and give two more quotes.  The waay it looks we will be in this neighborhood for weeks.  We counted 115 homes that could use our services.  The good thing is that this area is only 10 minutes from our shop.  Do what you say you're going to do and you will get the work.

This is so true dan. Sales was something i really struggled with 4 years ago, but i learned if im going to do business i better learn sales and become confident in what i do. truth is i hate rejection(its a part of business and life) and would of stopped after 50 doors but as you stated it is vital to plant seeds and let them grow and continue to plant seeds and so on and so on.

It is easy to sound confident when you know how the house is going to look after cleaning it.  While you are at it offer them a discount if they let you clean their house at the same time.
