Gathered from the information I obtained here, most definitely Delavan would be the pump to go with. Would you suggest buying a complete package or would you buy individual pieces and build your own? I have been looking at Fat Boy and thought about purchasing it, or would it be better to start off with a smaller package?
Many people here like to put their own stuff together. You can find everything you need from Pressure Washer Products or Pressure Tek. Both suppliers have knowledgeable staff and I am sure you have already seen Lori around the board here.
A delevan pump would be great to start with i have heard its a great pump ive used the 5gpm delevan but not the fatboy, just read up on the wiring and make sure to rinse after every use. good luck.

The Delavan pumps work well, used the 5 gpm and fatboy. I have up graded to the air pump last year using a yamada poly pump with the chemical seals. BPH pumps sales the yamada poly 1/2 pump for 415.00. Lori from pressure washer services has the all flo 3/8 pump for cheaper but the all flo 1/2 is over 600.00. If you have an air compressor with at least 11.7 cfm go with an air pump, if not than the fatboy will work good for a season or so. Just use a 3 way poly valve so you can clean out after each use and get your self an extra relay switch from lori and pressure washer services. My fatboy had the relay switch go out only after 2 months of running it so I just moved to the yamada air pump. If you have any questions just send me a private message and I would be happy to help.
Can someone explain to me what that huson float valve is?

Once you go to an air pump. Keep the FatBoy as a back up along with the very expensive and worth it,Optima Blue top battery. I use the FatBoy to pump chemicals from one tank to another.

Call Lori, she'll set you up right. I have discussed with her over the phone how they should be installed to make the pump last without burning the relay switches up or the pump.
Read the 12V FATBOY thread at the top of the pumps section.
If it is installed correctly you won't have problems.
Mine is still going strong since I bought it back in November 2008 with the same relay switch.
That is good Mike, and as for my fatboy being set up right is was, right hose, right ball valve and right battery. It was probably just one of those things that happened, but since Lori now sales them I would keep back up relay on my truck just incase but now since I am all air pumps, guess it don't matter much since my fatboy is collecting dust in my warehouse.

James, Send that fatboy over my way. I will make sure it stays dust free for you!
Well you call me, if you want it I will sale it to you. It only has a month use on it. You would just need to get a relay switch for it. You have my number, if your interested. Yes they both do sale the fatboy but I would call Lori first, her and her dad are very good people from my experience with them. Rex her dad has help answer many questions over the phone and help trouble shoot things for me.
