Yea, nothing wrong with opening your mind on here,...because a lot of ideas that may pop into mind have already been tried. Just like the laundry soap idea. always nice to hear others' experience's. Another benefit to using Ammonyx Lo  is it's seems more of a purpose made product for us.

 Jeff,

I have found just the opposite with dawn vs. detergent.  My detergent sticks great and my dawn always seems "off to the races" shortly after I started.  I have amonyx on its way...

I have used the 2x concentrate detergent and am sold unless the amonyx says otherwise.  Even if it that great, not sure it is worth the extra $$$...

Yes, use what ever you're comfortable with and delivers the results you are looking for.

I just received mine also, and will be getting first hand experience with it very soon. The weather is about to turn into roof cleaning weather here in Pa. I just like to wait until it's nice and warm to start. Saves alot of respraying. I will be reporting back here as well when I give it a few good runs.

I thought that this forum was to help inform newcomers about the correct procedures for cleaning roofs and share information and new technology.  If certain individuals want to be so smart with their replies, it could only be discouraging to some not to ask the questions they want to ask.  I was always told the only dumb question was the one not asked. I guess it is not so in Alabama.

No value in stirring things back up. We're several posts away from the one you're referring to. Nothing wrong with asking questions,...but sit down and do a lot of reading and you'll find that the answers are right there,...along with a lot of things you maybe haven't even thought about yet. That's the beauty of reading alot of posts that you may think are irrelevant.

It's suggested that all new members spend alot of time reading and using the search button to find your answers to your questions. You have to realize that every day there are new members asking the same elementary questions over and over again. This forum board isn't really designed to be like a chat room. It's designed to read and learn and go do a job and come back here and post a before and after picture, other word get involved and prove that you are a roof cleaner.

I hope I gave you all positive encouragement.

You missed your calling as an motivational speaker...biggrin... now let's go spray some roofs...

Just about everyone new goes through the silly question faze confuse Heck I am still trying to get out of it.

Yesterday I used amonyx lo for the first time and I did like my results but I also had some tsp in my mix. Today I am currently mixing a batch to spray on a roof this afternoon without tsp added and I will post my results after I do more experimenting.

I really look forward to trying some of this stuff out Chris! I love the tsp, but always up to try new things!!

When using the  Ammonyx LO,tsp may be cut down to 1/4 cup per gallon, or eliminated entirely! TSP is a great cleaner, we still use it on concrete tile roofs to get them tyhe whitest the concrete can be, but for shingle roofs, TSP is oblosete and unnecessary when using Ammonyx.

I will admit I was a little nervous because this was the first time we were using  Ammonyx Lo.

We were using it on a steep pitch, there was frost on the roof and a camera crew from the new paper shooting. I decided at the last minute to boil some water and mix in a small amount of TSP ... wink... to hopefully help it clean and stick.

We put on simple basic suits and masks for the news paper shoot as a deterrent so every Tom Dick and Harry reading the article won't run out and try it.

With that said we are planning to pick up some proper masks soon.

That is the type roof I've been cleaning. You need to build you a wand my friend.
You might not have had to make my last climb.

I have been thinking about building some type of snap on attachment to gain 3 more feet and I could of used it all over that roof.

I also climbed up to the next peek and sweep off the very top of the roof it had nuked white mold all over and the owner kept asking me about it. So I just sweep it off and re-sprayed the peek for her.

That Hang Tite is one of the best chemical innovations I have come across.

Between the time savings, the less amount of mix needed to clean the roofs and the speed that it makes the mix clean, anyone that uses the Hang Tite will make that small investment pay for itself many, many times over in many different ways.

If you have not tried the Hang Tite from Lori at Pressure Washer Products, get a 5 gallon container of it and give it a try, you will not regret it.

What is "Hang Tite"??  Is this your personal name for Ammonyx lo?

Hang Tite is the new name for the Amonyx Lo over at Pressure Washer Products, too many people cannot pronounce the name so they gave it this nickname. Hope that clears this up.

How many oz.'s are you guys using in a 40 gallon batch of love? We have some coming this week and am very excited to see results with this product.

I used 1 quart into a 50 gallon mix of Professional Roof Cleaning Solution.

I put a quart into a gallon jug then add water and mix it up.

I make my mix by adding the components, reactor and activator then add the Hang Tite then add the water to the 50 gallon mark so the hang tite mixes up good.

I would not put the Hang Tite in the beginning because it will make a ton of suds and make a mess. That is why I add it 1/2 way through making the mix for the roof, so it will not make a ton of suds. It does make a lot but at least not a huge mess.

My reactor and activator are proprietary components which are selling advantages over the lowballers/hacks/lowbidders. This helps me make my Professional Roof Cleaning solution the best thing out there for Roof Cleaning in Corpus Christi Texas.

Hope this helps.

I have not used it yet but from what I have been reading I am thinking 2 cups, is this correct? confuse

I use 1 quart for a 50 gallon mix and it has made a huge difference for Roof Cleaning in Corpus Christi Texas.

I don't think that 1 quart would be too much for a 40 gallon mix, if anything it might soap a lot and make it cling better but that is up to you. You could try out 3 cups and see what that does for you.

Got mine on order... Looking forward to giving it a shot.

Chris, how is it cutting your time in half? What were you using before? Give me a call or PM me if you'd like.

By making my Professional Roof Cleaning mix for Roof Cleaning in Corpus Christi Texas with the Hang Tite added, it has helped the cling of the mix stay longer on the roof so it is not running down as fast so that is causing it to clean better and with less runoff the ground guy has less to worry about and not stop me or slow me down and less spots to re-treat because of the longer dwell time so the chemicals can kill the roof fungus more efficiently without needing as much re-treating the areas as much as I used to.

By clinging better, less runoff, not slowing down or stopping and less spots needing re-treating, that has overall dramatically reduced the time on the roof for Professional Roof Cleaning and that results in less time on the job and I can get to the next job or finish for the day.

I used to take about 4 hours to do a 1500 sq.ft. roof from the time I arrived to the time I left but now it is about 1/2 of that.

The 5000 sq.ft. roof would take me all day long with me also on the ground helping the ground guy water the plants and grass. The last job I did that was a 5000 sq.ft. roof was last week and total time there from arrival to leaving was about 3 hours so that would actually be less than 1/2 the time it used to take me thanks to this great product.

Thanks Lori at Pressure Washer Products!!!

Can the Ammonyx Lo (Hang Tite) be added with a premix of water and SH (mixeded prior to the job), or will it break down the SH like the 70% Isopropol and Dawn concentrates did?

Does anyone still use the 70% Isopropol when mixing this newer version of the "Love" mix.

The Ammonyx LO is specially designed to be chlorine compatable, and will not harm the roof cleaning mix. If using alcohol, simply add it right before the job for best results.
